E55 (for sale if the right offer comes along)...too many others to list
Ordered my 06 E55 today.
As many of you know I have been pondering on a SL55, CL65 or a E55. Decided the SL is not big enough for my daily needs, and I just can't justify the $ of the CL. I ordered my 211 today and here are the specs.
Black 2006 E55 211
Black Birdseye Trim
Charcoal
Hands Free voice control
526 Premium package
Distronic
Keyless Go
I should get my build date sometime this week. Yeeeeehaaaaaa!
I can't wait to lower it, throw on a stage III and some sick rims. Thinking about getting the titanium rims that come on the CL.

Congrat's on the new edition. You are going to be thrilled. Now if I can only convince Wolf that a stage III really IS a must

AS for the driving test.. Funny thing is that the E class although it isn't that big.. Somehow the back end is hard to gauge. The front, easy, the back.. hard for parallel parking for some reason... I find myself looking for a reflection in the windows.

Congrats on making the decision to get the E55. I was thinking about those sick Titanium rims that come on the S65/SL65 for my E55. Those are drop dead gorgeous I must say... I stopped by the friendly parts department at the local stealership today to inquire about them.
I was quoted over $1200 each rim and they can be had as a set with 19" Michelins ($410 each!) all for a measly $7,000 installed out the door.
They don't want anything to do with the factory 18's either if I buy the 19's. I'm wondering if there is any way to get them other than the dealer? Oh well, I have until October for delivery to contemplate my wheel selection. Wondering if I could get HRE 19's for about the same or less $$$... Any thoughts on wheels would be helpful.

Here is a pic of the rim. The rims were on the CL65 I was looking at. I can get the tires and rims for $4500.00.

Congrats...you will love the car! As you can tell, I'm partial to your color choice. The gunmetal AMG's on the CL will look fantastic on the E...just wish it had a phat/fat lip.
