Good Luck
Make sure you tell them that it runs the 1/4 faster then stock 65's priced about $100K more

Granted that was trade in value instead of private party but the figures I stated are more realistic than the ones you posted because my numbers come fomr actual sales/trades by people on this forum. Although they might not be in too quick a hurry to claim these these depreciation values, you can find them if you search through the site. Still, this one witht he mods is VERY nice so I do hope he gets the $'s it's worth from the car.
Here's a thread of a guys "trying" to get $70K for his 2004
https://mbworld.org/forums/showthrea...hlight=selling
Another of a guy trying to "get out of his LOADED 04" for $69K so that he can use the extra cash for an invesment real estate opportunity.
https://mbworld.org/forums/showthrea...hlight=selling
Here is an ebay "Buy It Now" listing for an 03 E55 with 27K miles for $62K.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Merce...67021659QQrdZ1
BIN's can always be bought for less in person and with cash so you can be pretty safe in figuring that that car can easily be bought for about $58K. The miles do make a difference but not the $17K difference you appear to imply.

No real need - Dark Star just posted that he BOUGHT an 03 for $61K WITH a PANO roof ($$$'s option) for $61K just a day ago. Seems to also support my point. It's a nice car and $60-$65 is about average for the 03's now-a-days. The options on M5KillR's do make it worth more. Maybe even the $75K he is seeking but only from the right buyer.

I do see the E55s dropping more rapidly now than before but I don't think they're taking a bath like my CL55 did. Maybe cuz the M5 is around the corner?

I talk to two people this week about trading my car in:
1. The largest MB dealer in Dallas
2. The Noble dealer who called a few wholesalers
Both offered me $58k for my vehicle on trade-in. I do think something is up with the value of our E55's.

When selling anything you need to wait for right buyer. If you are looking to move something fast, 9 out of 10 times you will lose $$$$$. When I was selling my 01 911 TT a few years ago which was modded, I had offers from folks all over the US that were offering me $15K lower then want I sold the car for. I held to my guns and 6 months later I found the right buyer who wanted the mods and still saved $$$$.

That will be very cool to get real world side by side runs on how stock and modded E55's will do against the new Z06 or new M5. We should plan to take videos.
Many members will love to see the results of that instead of what mags say.
Alex, it will be a blast to go head to head with either one you get. I would love to run some high speed runs past the 1/4 mile mark to the 1/2 mile mark and see if you or I can pull on each other over 120mph.

I honestly don't think the M5 will be able to beat your E55, a stock one should be close. The Z06 should be able to beat both stock and modded based on what I'm reading. Who knows, if all goes well we can run both the Z06 and the M5...Z06 if it arrives in Oct, then we should be able to run both since the M5 won't be here til Nov (at least that's what I was told).
Oh, and the iDrive is really easy to use now on the 7er Almost wrecked the first day, but I'm pretty proficient now.

We will have a blast running our cars together. My gut tells me it will be very close between the new Z06 and my modded E55. I should have the throttle body in by then and will be pushing over 600HP and close to 670TQ.
Running the Z06 and the beast up to 1/2 mile will be fun to see how both cars fair.

Only 24,500. My wife works for an insurance company and she pulled the value of my car using their "insider" books (based on my VIN) and it says the trade-in/wholesale value should be $70,500.
