I can't tell you exactly but to just start playin around. I just took off some rubber part behind the headlight and next thing you know it led me to the back of the actual headlight. Then I twisted this metal piece that keep the bulb in place and pulled the bulb out. Swapped the bulbs, put it back and then twisted it to lock it into place.

I hope that helped???

To start with, get the correct bulbs! H1 do not fit W211. Correct is H7 high beam and HB4 fog lights.Strike one.
Secondly, 110 Watt will melt polycarbonate lenses of the high beam. Sorry, strike two.

I didn't even do my research. sorry! I was in the store, and ask the guy what do I need for my fog lamps. He look in his book and grabbed what I took a picture of. How will the 110watt melt the high beam if it's meant for the fog lamps not for High beams? He did grab an H7 for high beam, but I felt I didn't want it yet. Since you've done yours already, I assume you are 100% correct, so I will go back tomorrow and replace them for the HB4. Luckily I ask for advice on how to install instead of trying to install incorrect bulbs. Sorry If I come off rude but I was thankful that you told me about the incorrect bulbs. I was expecting if anyone could help with actual instructions on installing it and then by probably saying "oh btw, you should go back and get the correct bulbs because those are not the proper ones."

dont' mind me, I apologize for blabbing and if I came across for being rude, had a few drinks with diner.

edit: You are correct tho H1 are for headlights, cuz I actually just did my homework. I honestly was just going on what the guy gave me. I just didn't even bother to check to see if he was correct. Thank you for letting me know, much appreciated.

My mistake BenzoBoi, I didn't even know that these were for headlights, not fog lamps hence my Title of Topic. I will be back tomorrow with the correct bulbs.

I would still love to know how to change FOG lamps if anyone knows.

Raise the car to its highest setting. Lying down near the fog light undo the two plastic tabs underneath each light with a small coin. Now open the flap in the bottom black cover directly beneath each fog light-its molded with a front hinge. Stick your hand inside and grab the "elbow-shaped" globe fitting and twist 1/4 turn counter clockwise. It will pop out from its bayonet socket. Now strech the cable and pull out of the whole bulb fitting into daylight.
You now have to release the old bulb by pressing on the two plastic tabs. Remove old bulb, install the new one by reverse order all the way to the coin stage . Good luck!
PS. the H1 bulbs would not have melted the polycarbon lens after all. I read the smallprint :55W power draw but it emits light equivalent to 110W (you wish PIAA ). Almost all bulbs draw only 55W nowadays. Your fog light lens is GLASS but the HB4 only comes in 55W anyway.

Went back to the shop today for the exchange. This time some other guy was there and he made the exchange for me. They gave me something else now. I can't even read it because it's all in Japanese. But they are call PIAA Super Plasma GT=X Bulbs. Below is a picture I've taken. Also, I looked these up on ebay and this is what I came up with. < Click Here >

I sure hope these are the correct ones. I only intentions when I was purchasing the first set was that I wanted brighter lights than my OE fogs. I am going on a long road trip in about 1 1/2 weeks and wanted to have more light on the highway.

i use H1 Piaa Spark Blues for my fogs, with my city lights matching my low beams, the blue fogs make an awesome contrast agaisnt my white body color at night

i believe the super plasma will have a more purplish tint - prob looks good too

Perfect, exactly what I got!

I didn't go ebay or anything for no other reason than I feel it is easier for me to hold tirerack accountable than SomeSeller123

just some stuff in case you don't know it:

1. Don't touch the bulbs with anything!
2. the twist off and on just grab by the elbow joint and twist. You have to push in with some ammount of force to get them back in

took me all of about 5 min to do both.

Side Marker Lights

Does anyone know a part # for some brilliant white bulbs that will fit the side marker lamps? I just replaced my ambers with clear lenses, but the white bulb gives off a yellowish light - was looking for something more brilliant. Any suggestions?

Now after reading this thread, is it true H7 110 Watt will melt polycarbonate lenses of the high beam? if so, what should I get then in order to match my lights?
