Here's a laugh for you E55 guys
I'm at the golf course, and I see this car. It's an E320 with E55, V8 Kompressor and ///AMG badges. It also had nasty 17s and chrome trim everywhere.
Then as I was leaving I noticed what looked like a C-Class AMG, but upon closer inspection it was a C230 sport sedan that had a C55 badge on the trunk and V6 Kompressor badges on the side!!!!!!!

hahhahah LOL!!!! same thing happened last month, my buddy and I pulled up to the shopping center parking lot in his g/f's C32 and we saw a parked regular C-class all badged out, C32, AMG, and the V6 Komp (all crooked too hahhaha) so we parked right next to it to f**k w/ the owner when he came out of the store...we waited a lil bit to see the owner's reaction when they came out, but grew tire of waiting so we just went in the store.....

I guess I'm flattered and offended at the same time. Its their car, so whatever makes them happy, I guess. If they admit its not an E55, thats cool. But if they are seriously passing it off as an E55, thats just pathetic.

For the life of me, I could not understand why people go through the trouble, and obviously the expense of rebadging an MB. C'mon, who is he trying to fool? For the casual observer, an E320, E500 and an E55 are all the same. They don't even know what is so special with the E55. For the enthusiast, OTOH, could easily spot a rebadged E. So, why go through the trouble?
There was an S430 running around in my neighborhood with all the AMG S55 badges. When I had my lemon S55, he could not look at me in the eye everytime, we see each other at a stop light. He knew deep inside, I'm laughing my *** off. I saw him again a couple of weeks ago on the same stoplight in my E55. When the light turned green, I just left him like he was sitting still. When he cought up at the next light, he left a full car space in front of him. He did not want to be side by side with my lowly E55.

SWMBO and I were out test driving cars 2 weeks ago. @ VOB BMW in Rockville, there was an older E430 out front with ///AMG badges, white lettered tires (mismatched front/back), a 3-4" spoiler on the trunk and a huge (3+") scoop on the hood.
