Okay, just got the E55 dynoed...
Well today I went to a buddy of mine's shop and got my E55 dynoed. My car has the resonators cut off and has an X-pipe and K&N filters with snorkel mod. I drove the car there (~30-40 miles) and let it cool with fan on it for like 20 minutes. The dyno type was a DYNO DYNOMATICS. Made 3 pulls and made:
382.5 rwhp
444 rwtq
So what do yall think?

Seems a bit low doesnt it? Have your intercooler pump checked by the dealer, and have the superchargers clutch checked jsut to be sure. I would expect somewhere around 400 rwhp for a stock. Even the torque is considerably low. Something doesn't seem right, or im just retarded.

I doubt it. I would surely have the dealer check a couple things out. Have the intercooler pump flow tested. Sounds like you have a bad pump. I had a bad pump and needless to say the car felt sluggish.

Okay, I'll do that. But the car really doesn't really feel that "sluggish". Although I might now know the difference. BTW- what do I tell the dealer when they ask why do you want that checked? And why do you feel it feels sluggish?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Have them log your IATs and A/F so you can analyze your dyno. I dynoed 400/439 at the wheels with similar lite mods.
Take the car down the track on a good air day (make sure density altitude is < 1000 ft.) If your trap speed is below 114 you have may have a bosch pump issue as others have stated. I trapped 113.6 with a 2000 ft DA which is about 115.6 mph corrected.

Seems to be below the curve. Maybe it reads horsepower differently than a Dynojet, which seems to have become the standard. I know Mustang dynos are dubbed "heartbreakers" because they tend to read much lower than Dynojets. Perhaps DYNO DYNOMATICS is the same way.

I made 3 pulls, with 10-15 minutes break, and then it had 2 huge fans in front with an air conditioned fan blowing behind those (one of those $2200 a/c fans). But my car was still like a SAUNA under that hood. Maybe the intercooler pump did go out?

Other things that affect the dyno are temperature in the bay of the shop and humidity. Do you know either when you did the pulls?
I don't think you have anything to worry about. If you're pump went out I would think you'd have a much lower pull considering the engine temps would get way too hot and the ECU would intervene and disengage the supercharger.

SL 65 AMG and E63s AMG
Matthew, I know this is pretty basic but did you put it in dyno mode?
Another thought is did you have a strong fan going thru the radiator? Both can effect HP ratings. BTW is your bud in Jackson? I may have to make a trip over to get mine dyno'd for kicks and grins. We don't have a dyno as far as I know here in Monroe.
