About to order new Tires (Michelins) and new help...
I want to get the widest I can get up front and the rear. Also, what is the difference in Y-rated and Z-rated?
Also, I want a set a tires that last a while. Are these like the stock ones and only last 8-10K miles? Any other advice I'd like to hear. Thanks in advance.

Michelin PS2's. They are the god of all tires right now.

Read that for the difference between Y-Rated an Z-Rated.
245/40/18
265/35/18
Those are what I'd do on a stock car.

The PS2's are the ones I am going to get.
Also, I don't know how long the car will stay stock so with that in mind...what do you suggest?

Then everything changes, it depends on what modifications you are going to do. If you are tracking this car, then get some Cup Sports or those Direzza's.
If you are going to get wider rims, or taller rims, then the sizes I listed for you probably won't work.

Good point...
So the car most likely will never have anything more than a pulley, if that. Also, I want something that will be nice to daily drive, but when I go to the Supra meet next year and go to Texas World Speedway, I want something that would be nice for a few good laps.

On stock size wheels, dont buy tires bigger than 245 front and 275 rear. Anything more than that and you will just get more bulge on the sidewall which will give you sloppy handling.

I heard bad things about PS2's from Peter Lee @ wheelexperts when I bought my rims. He says he will not sell them to a customer unless they sign some kind of waiver as they reportedly have poor qc issues....something about uneven pressures. I'm not an expert of this issue....maybe Peter can chime in.

I ordered a set of 255/35/19 and 285/30/19 PS2 from the Tire Rack last week. According to their web site, 285/30/19 due in 4th November!
I am waiting for Luke's confirmation.
