2003 E55 AMG
It was at the shop where I did my dyno. Awesome machine.
Always wanted one but the company that makes them wants $300,000 to duplicate Eleanor.
If it was around the $120,000 mark I would consider it, but for $300,000 and a little more smack I am in CGT territory..

SL 65 AMG and E63s AMG
Whatever happened to the E55 owner that used to peruse this site? He had an "Eleanor" for sale according to his profile. I think his moniker was "Eleanor Owner". Guess he sold his E55.

Yes he does. And he didnt sell his E55 either . Vrus, today is your lucky day. We own an Eleanor just like this one...and its well within your price range. An E55 is one thing, but an Eleanor - thats a whole 'nother story. You've already got a PM.

If anyone wants to see our Eleanor, you can take a look at her here: www.platinumrides.com/eleanor.html
Please keep in mind that the price listed is not correct. The final sale price is quite a bit lower. My contact info is there if anyone is interested. Enjoy!

Thanks for the PM. I've bought a few cars from the U.S. in the past but I really prefer to buy locally.. It's a real pain to get stuff across the border, and by the time all is said and done, it is alot more expensive.
You are a lucky guy to have a car like that!! It is absolutely beautiful!
Enjoy it in good health!

We've had her for a long time (still under 1,500 miles though). Our family bought it primarily as an investment and as a possible beginning to a long line of rebuilds we may do. Funding for it was a little steep however, and it would provide lots of relief to get it off our hands. We'll definitely be sad to see her go.
