It was at the shop where I did my dyno. Awesome machine.

Always wanted one but the company that makes them wants $300,000 to duplicate Eleanor.

If it was around the $120,000 mark I would consider it, but for $300,000 and a little more smack I am in CGT territory..

No. It was an original GT500 that the guy owned. He bought new body panels from Unique in the U.S. to bring it back to life and built a 408 stroker for it.. He said it dyno'd somewhere around 550rwhp.

Unique is selling complete turn-key GT500 cars for $300,00 + according to what the guy told me.

SL 65 AMG and E63s AMG
Whatever happened to the E55 owner that used to peruse this site? He had an "Eleanor" for sale according to his profile. I think his moniker was "Eleanor Owner". Guess he sold his E55.

Yes he does. And he didnt sell his E55 either . Vrus, today is your lucky day. We own an Eleanor just like this one...and its well within your price range. An E55 is one thing, but an Eleanor - thats a whole 'nother story. You've already got a PM.

If anyone wants to see our Eleanor, you can take a look at her here: www.platinumrides.com/eleanor.html
Please keep in mind that the price listed is not correct. The final sale price is quite a bit lower. My contact info is there if anyone is interested. Enjoy!

Hi,

Thanks for the PM. I've bought a few cars from the U.S. in the past but I really prefer to buy locally.. It's a real pain to get stuff across the border, and by the time all is said and done, it is alot more expensive.

You are a lucky guy to have a car like that!! It is absolutely beautiful!

Enjoy it in good health!

What a beautiful Eleanor you got there. It looks flawless. If I may ask, why are you selling?

We've had her for a long time (still under 1,500 miles though). Our family bought it primarily as an investment and as a possible beginning to a long line of rebuilds we may do. Funding for it was a little steep however, and it would provide lots of relief to get it off our hands. We'll definitely be sad to see her go.

That sure was! That was a great show and one of the judges actually came up to me and said, "There are some pretty nice cars here but I tell you what -the only car at this show that I'm gonna remember is this one right here."
