I saw one yesterday and it does look might fine. The rear end is very intimidating to say the least.

was going to trade in my E55 in on one...wife ruled against it...i am waiting to see what these run at the strip. mags have it from 11.5@127 to 12.33@116...thats ALL over the place.

Read one mag that said it was an EXTREMELY tough car to drag. Took 5+ runs for a pro drag racer to start to figure it out and get it into the sub 12 range.

Forget the average schmoo....they're screwed.

I thought about it too, dumping my 996TT but I just can not see myself trading a TT for a Vette no matter what the performance numbers are, albeit incredible!!! I would never trade my E55 for it- I need the 4 seater!!

yeah...I am coming to realize that even if its an 11.5 sec car...capable of 10s with a few $K it will never be a 4 seater, German uber sedan....now it would be a great car to compliment the E55!

I am suprised its hard to drag...autos gotta be easy...just get a stall and drag radials and you should be in the mid 11s.

I have had a deposit on one for a year but decided to buy an SLK55 AMG instead.
I also have an 03 Z06 with an LPE TT 427 and 750 hp, 800 tq and it is a lot of fun but tiring. I just cant get over how much continuous fun, slow or fast, the AMG cars are!

I would have been taking delivery of mine beginning of next month, but I canceled my order. I think it's an outstanding car but I just couldn't pull the trigger. Oh well.

Marcus, I saw some your posts on that forum and was looking forward to hearing about your delivery. The vette guys complain about the quality and lack of training for chevy service and have the concerns about the first year build...so its probably better to wait to see how things shake out. The mags have mentioned the stiff ride, loud transmission, and cheap interior but for a 3rd or 4th car built for the track, one could live with it.

There were really too many small things that just made me hesitant. This car to me needs to do more than just put up big #s and perform well, and I just was very wary of being one of the first and forking over MSRP for it.

So, my search continues...

I debated over the Z06 and the Viper SRT/10, obviously went with the Viper. Waaaaay too many vettes on the road. It is a respectable car with great potential and performance numbers, but they are a dime a dozen, and there is very little visual difference between a Z and a regular C6. When you see a Viper, you know what it is, and it cant be confused with any other model. I have tracked the Viper twice now, and it handles just great!!!!! I do look forward to lining up next to one at the 1/4 mile track though
