Hey, I was just there today! In fact, I had my resonator(s) taken off. I must say, it didn't make as much of a difference as I hoped, but its still somewhat noticeable. Now it sounds like an SL or CL 55, just a liiiitle quieter. Now for the big question...does removing a resonator really create lag? I haven't really noticed much but maybe my paranoia is causing me to feel a slight dip in power/lag in windup. Is it possible to create a lag by deleting a res????

Anyone got pics of Eisenmann tips on an E55? There website does not show all 3 for W210. Which would be the best look? How about the 2x90x70 oval?

The resonator removal is exactly what you said, really nothing. When I had mine taken out I tried to listen for an increase and it was truly neglegible. Removing the post cats will do the trick. You will get a fantastic growl at low end and WOT but not any annoying drone in the cabin.

 

Yeah, I got 2 of them. I actually wish Eisenmann made mufflers for my DCX LX chassis. I want quad ovals. The rear muffler layout on the Hemi's look very similar to the muffler layout on the W211. With a little tweaking they could fit!

Yeah - I remember you mentioned it was a slight difference. Thats why I got it done. It sounds like the secondary cats is what I'm looking for. Didn't that give you problems with the O2 sensors though? If so, how'd you get around it. Is it an easy job?

 

No problems with the O2 sensors at all. You would only have that issue with the primary cats.

Awesome! Those are located after the resonator correct? Also, is it true that these mods cause lag or no? I'd think that they wouldn't because if anything it results in less backpressure, not more. Thanks for all the help.
