Need new exhaust for the beast....
Ok so my car is a '00 E55 for those of you who don't know. After having hear Sun's Borla exhausts on hit E55k w211, it made me want to get something with more growl. I don't quite think I'm ready to go for a Magnaflow again, as it was pretty loud on my E320. With a V8 on the other end, it's probably gonna be louder. I want to keep my AMG tips. So, what exhaust should I go for? Magnaflow is cheap. Borla I dont know. I dont want to spend too much.

On my 00e55 I had a local custom hot rod exhaust builder build me a new cat back system. I have a stainless dual 2.5" in and dual 2.5" out Magnaflow muffler installed where the resonator was and he hand built all new 2.5" duals all the way out and into the stock AMG tips.
To hear what mine sounds like go to the Magnaflow web site and click on hear and go to the 05 Mustang V-6, that one sounds alot like mine.

weak sounding?
since a couple of ya'all seem to be gettin just a bit technical I offer the following; first technically only 211 series E55's are referred to as beasts.
Next my 210 sounding somewhat like the 05 V-6 Mustang to me is not a bad thing.
Over the years I have owned two Audi S-8 Quattro's, a MB E420, and now my E55 all of these cars with different dual custom exhaust systems and none of them ever sounded like an american V-8 Mustang or any other american V-8's they all sounded a bit more like the 05 V-6 mustang on the Magnaflow web site, higher pitched then an american V-8 and to me a bit more wicked sounding then american V-8's. My car definately does not sounds weak, it is head turning euro nasty when you boot it.

Yo G...I don't know the specific part number but it is the borla race muffler. I think they are all universal. I asked Borla a while back about the part number but they told me they didn't make one specifically for mbers...Hope this helps...

The shop I went to today is freaking retarded. ****ing white people trying to rip me off. I went there to get my Magnaflow done on my Wald E320 and no problem. And now the dude is telling me to do that same setup w/ the AMG tips, it'll hang lowers and the tips may not be at the same location exactly. Anyway, he's a tool. I'll go to Royal Muffler in the Valley.
