Service Questions..

Hi i'm 16 years old and my parents bought me a 2005 E55, and had it for a while now. I have 10,000 miles on it and it says i Service B is due, however i never got a Service A... Also i haven't rotated my tires or brought the car into service since i got it, so i was wondering what Service B is consisted of and what i should do when i bring it to the dealer tomorrow.

Thank You,
Roo

Read the users manual or the Service Booklet that comes with the car. That should tell you what the service includes. What type of service you get is dependant upon your driving style, mileage, and a few other factors.

Damn I had a GPA above 4.0 when I was in High School and all I got was a Honda Accord. Times are changing I guess.

Daaaamn, I know I'm going to regret evern asking because I'm only 18, but 16! Whoah! Just asking, and not antaginzing you, but do you have experience with something of this kind of power? I mean I grew up around fast cars and my supra having ~800rwhp, I'm just used to it. But, I'm really interested. Also, all the cars in your profile, are they all yours or are they all the cars in your family?

The cars in my profile are my families. My dad has over 10 business cars (Diesel Trucks) however the ones in my profile are just my family cars in the house. Also i have no experience what so ever and got burned by a C55.... However i PROMISE it iwll never happen again.

The service letters A-(I cant remember) is designed to indicate to length of time required to perform the needed services. Where the previous FSS system simply stated A or B indicating a major or minor. The W211 chassis has up to 14 different operations that could be performed on the car depending on driving/mileage etc.

I would say that you should be looking at a service 12(oil change), service 13(vehicle inspection, battery test, brake check, tire check etc.), and possibly even a service 3(replacement of the combination filter for the A/C)... It will be C.P., make sure they do not charge you for the FSS B service, since you have an FSS Plus vehicle.

The 05 model year get a free first service welcome check but only between 1k-3k miles, and a tire rotation/inspection which is really not needed on your car.

Thank You! That helped a lot. I'll be bringing it in tomorrow and asking if they did all the things you have mentioned.

I am in the hospitality business. I buy and manage hotels primarily in the Midwest and California.

WOW! That's my dream, to own hotels and others and manage them while being a Doctor. Any suggestions for college or anything?

Not really. Go to a good reputable college, get a degree in whichever field interest you. Don't let others influence your decisions on what to do with your life.

You have to go to UMICH for undergrad and USC for grad lol. At least thats what I did. EDJ also went to USC.
