Thinking of Selling My E55

Guys/Gals - I am considering selling my E55. It hurts me to watch it sit in my garage all the time. I am too busy with work to enjoy it. Any ideas on the best way of selling it for a fair price?

It is an 05, brilliant silver on charcoal. It has barely 5,800 miles. Command DVD navigation, electronic trunk closer, factory CD changer and bi-xenon lights. I also installed an Escort SRX remote radar detector laser diffuser that goes with the car. Car has seen rain once.

Any idea where I can target the right market without having to spend hundreds of dollars to do so?

I have been thinking of selling mine because I am getting high in mile. approxiamtly 11000. These cars are much tougher to sell wants they get over the 10000 mile mark. Most likely I will keep for another year. I figure your looking in the low 70's. Try ebay as I have sold 4 cars on there.

Low 70s should get rid of it pretty quick.
I can't believe you guys consider over 10k miles "high".

No kidding. I consider it a high mile/ tough sale once it approaches the expiration of the factory warranty.

I just don't hold the E55 to the same standards of exotic cars. These cars were designed to be daily drivers, not weekend toys. I'm totally with Accomplice8 on this one.

mileage and value

Don't know about the effect of under 10k miles on used value, as I think a guy that can write a check for 70 is more likely to write one for 90 and get 0 miles.

However, selling one before the warranty expires is a real plus to help a seller find a buyer.

In my view, 10,000 miles for these cars is nothing.

I am probably going to try to sell it for $75,000 based on Edmunds.

What do you drive instead of your E? I don't drive some of my nicer cars in the rain/snow, but if I were thinning the herd, my E would just become my daily driver

Good luck either way.

Thanks.

I'd probably just drive my Jeep Cherokee until Spring and then figure out what I wanted to do. I don't do enough driving to really enjoy my cars.

Your 05 E55 will bring $76K as equipped if you market and sell it correctly. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

Thanks. I will probably go the ebay route unless I change my mind in the next few days.
