Being a previous '03 owner, I know the vehicles abilities, and it's just shy of the new Z06. Infact, in the most recent C&D (or whichever mag), the Z06 clocked a time of 12.1 through the 1/4 mile.
I have seen time slips for the E55 at 12 flat! I will post both links later in the day when I have time to look for them.
Oh, and for the challenged, 12 flat beats a 12.1

Hmm? I think you have a really good point there. We'll have to wait and see but I'm sure AMG has a few tricks up their sleeve!

About the weight point, there is no weigh in hell that an E-class is going to weigh anywhere close to a vet. They're not even in the same frigging class so stop comparing the two, it's just stupid.

Has anyone heard of a C63? The whole "C63 would be faster than and E63" puzzled me too. I asked Rob Allen about it at one of the AMG challenge events and his response was basically "Who said the 63 is going in the C?"

I can't believe that people are still questioning this... The 500hp 6.2 liter V8 will NOT go in the C-class Benz. Max power output will be 425ish hp and that will most likely come from a DOHC version of the 5.4 liter V8...

Believe it, it will be 510hp in a limited production car. Mostly old news as the spy photos already out. BMW M5 owners already in denial.
