Okay Darren Dallas THIS IS IT...dyno tonight

He always gives me grief that I won't go "get er dooonnnneee"

PUtting it up on a DynoJet tonight.

Was hoping to get the intercooler sprayer to see the actual differences, but screw it.....I just wanna see what she is putting down at this altitude.

Any guesses what a Klee Stage 2 should be putting down at the wheels.

I am guessing around 450rwhp. Am I dreaming?

LAST THING...the guy is gonna let me punch it on the dyno. WHAT IS THE RPM REDLINE ON THIS PUP.....need to be looking for it when I pop it into neutral.

Thanks for any info.

The dyno will give you an adjusted reading for your altitude. Make sure you get the corrected and uncorrected graphs so you can post them. I'm guessing around 385 RWHP uncorrected and around 435 to 450 RWHP corrected.

Jakpro1,

I was at 442rwhp, 497rwtq with just headers and cooling.. With the ECU & pulley I would expect a K2 car to be at the 480rwhp - 490rwhp mark and 515rwtq - 530rwtq.

Given your altitude, I will guess and say 460rwhp, 500rwtq.

I wouldn't bother spinning the engine past 6,200RPM.

Make sure you do at least 2 runs.. Do 1 run in 3rd gear and 1 run in 4th gear. The reason being is depending on the dyno shop and the fan setup they have, you might not be getting enough air to run 180mph in 4th gear. Doing 1 pull in 3rd gear will let you compare against the 4th gear pull and see if you are airflow limited or not.

One more thing.. If you will not be controlling the dyno, make sure you tell the dyno operator to start sampling at 2,000RPM. Peak torque comes in around 2,400 - 2,600RPM. If he is a little late on the button you will lose the bottom end of the graph. Sampling at 2,000RPM ensures you will be able to see the complete pull.

One last thing.. When you are doing the dyno testing just mash the accelerator right to the floor. Its the only consistent way to gauge performance if you are going to be comparing previous pulls to future pulls. Feathering the throttle can never be consistent across 2 pulls so you will end up with wild differences.

Good luck tonight!

I know this may seem slightly uneducated of me, but are you gonna be runnin the pup in dyno mode? also if you are, is it possible for you to do a run in dyno mode versus a non-dyno mode(regular).

This may seem un-educated of me but i just wanna "see" the differences...

Otherwise best of luck!

NP!! I didn't mention to put it in DYNO MODE because I figured that was a given... But, just in case.. Make sure you put it in Dyno mode!!

For sure..in dyno. What would happen if we did it NOT in dyno, V....just curious.

If you run it normally without dyno mode, the torque management in the ECU (ESP) will cut power and apply brakes as it detects wheel slip. You will notice huge dips and peaks in the graph as the car accelerates.

Damn.. You just reminded me of something I forgot to mention... Use "M" transmission mode. This will ensure that the ECU won't downshift on you when you go to full throttle in 4th gear.

That's it.. I promise.
