Just discovered that you can have both at 3 red and 3 blue bars on at once.

Does it just cancel out in that you have heating and cooling going on at once.

Just curious.

I noticed this the other day... Isn't the cool air just recirc. from the cabin?
That's what I thought anyway... With both on I thought I was blowing warm air... been accused of blowing hot air.

The seat ventilation (cooling) actually sucks air rather than blowing it from the seat.

Think of it like an AC with the heater on. It dehumdifies the cabin. Well this dehumdifies the back I think. It feels great in the cold months.

Thanks for the info. We rented a Lincoln LS a year ago and used the "3 blue bars" on that pup. Seriously...it was like sitting on a freezing cold seat.....who the heck would like that. Benz one is much better....just gently removes the built up heat..... Friggin Lincoln....snappy little car though....just cheap feeling as anything I have ever been in.

That is how the M5's keep up by riding on the tail and sitting in the slip stream.

If you look on the back of the front seats you will see the air intake for the ventilation. If you put the heaters and the ventilation on at the same time it blows cabin temperature air that probably gets heated as it passes through the leather, I think its great.
