Plus have you all seen how big those cars are, I mean I know our E's arent exactly Lotuses running around, but just the sheer stature of the car along with it's looks is quite amusing.
Most of these listings have a mark-up or a reserve above the MSRP. It's a basic fishing strategy.
There are buyers out there willing to pay a premium for a properly optioned car like the M5. You just have to know where to look for them.

When I told my friend about the situation, he offered to give me his allocation from another Texas dealer. He decided he didnt want it anymore. All I have to do is pay him back the $1000 he left for it and have it credited towards the car.

Last year, I had a line on a 2,000 mile SLR for $520,000 but the car was in Fla. The buyer here in Silicon Valley was too lazy to fly back east to see it so he paid $650,000 for a new one with the same options from the local dealer. For many here in the Bay Area, having the car right now is worth the extra bux. Money is not an issue for them.
