11.84 @ 118mph...100% stock
Went to the track tonight...56 degrees...my car now has 10k miles on it vs. the last time i ran...car was brand new, 1k miles, 65 degrees (12.01). The car is bone stock...tires are the goodyear gs-d3's all around...i'll post a pic of the timeslips on dragtimes later today...when you look at the timeslips, notice i was hot lapping the car...i made four runs within 15 minutes...the first pass and the last pass were both 11's.

launch...easy...by brother did it on his second try...
esp off...do burnout
esp back on
powerbrake to 1100
from 1200 to full throttle about 1 second...dont' flat foot it...that's how i got that 1.99
rear tires at 25 psi.
hrp is a killer track...i was the first one down the track with the 11.84...they vht'd the track then they draged it...as the night goes on, the track goes away...street tires kill the starting line.

Awesome times.
Your tire choice is interesting. Those tires just won a tire comparo in Car and Driver.
1st Eagle F1 GS-D3
2nd Continetal Sport Contact 2 (OEM for most of us)
3rd Yokohama Advan Neova AD07
4th Pilot sport PS2
They took into account price and tire wear, if you take those out the first 5 are:
1 Yokohama Advan Neova AD07 883.3
2 Eagle F1 GS-D3 873.6
3 Pilot sport PS2 869.8
4 BF Goodrich g-Force T/A KD 858.8
5 Continetal Sport Contact 2 855.6
Its an interesting article

cte430 is right - your engine is one of the strongest we've seen. The low ET here is not because of a special launch, it's because of his trap speed. 118mph is what some K2 cars run. hourclass you have an insanely strong engine to be running 118mph bone stock...
I kind of find it strange there's so much varience in power amongst our cars even if they are hand built.
You are a lucky guy housclass, although I'd be interested to see how much better your engine does with a K2 package or something of the sort.

The times are definitelly impressive! Don't forget he was running at 56 degrees temperature, that definitelly helps. Also i'm pretty sure the altitude affects times, so it also depends on that. Some one else in the area with a e55 should go and drag it. I am in no way doubting your results but rather interested if your engine is actually built "stronger".

told my wife we're going to name our first kid after the guy who built my motor!!
i had scheduled a pulley install at MTI last week but business kept me from making my appointment. I hope to get the pulley installed in the next couple of weeks and i'm going to buy some drag radials.
my buddy ran a 11.46 in his cl600 with a 1.66 short time...with a pulley and tires i hope to be in the high 50's with the same weather...if i could get into the 1.60's that would be awesome!!!!...we'll see!!
there was one guy on this board that was trying to break into the 11's stock...forget who he was (ran a 12.07)...he was my motivation!!!
thanks to all!!

HRP has been the home of quick times for quite a while. A combination of 10 ft elevation, great track prep and optimal atmospheric conditions (and a strong motor) = super numbers. I've been jealous of you Houston guys for a long time!
