I know I shouldn't take my nice cars out in the winter, but I bought it to drive it and not have it sit in my driveway. I'm also a little attached to my CLK. You just get used to a car after using it all the time, you know how it handles and know its limits, and it just not as much fun to get in a beater for the winter.

You can tell how straight it is by looking down the side in the picture on the lift, perfect mirror image!
Those are worth big bucks now, Big Blocks are bringing top dollar. I am looking for a 68 RS/SS convertible bb with munchi 4 speed. Should be easy hugh?..(yeah right)

Although purest might think it a sin, I plan to drive my CL55 through the winter ... it's too well mannered in winter months not to, and that motor is just too much fun when the temperature is low and the air is nice and dense. I'll work from home if the accumulation gets real bad.

Jak, winter/snow is just time for mods!!
I've been preparing for snow by getting my plow assembled and mounted.
This is my driveway...
... which only takes me to a shared drive that I plow with 2 other distant neighbors. The shared drive is a little longer (my house is the first one off the street) and it takes me to the main road.
I'm actually looking forward to the snow

If I had a 3/4 or 1 ton pickup, I would do the same. I have a 1/2 ton Titan, which is a nice truck, but not really made to plow like your giant 1 ton
Killer 1st gen, too. What's under the hood?

Yeh I hear ya, I can't even plow with my Jeep Cherokee.
In the Camaro there was a 396. It wasn't running right and the numbers did not match. It is a true big block SS. I pulled the 396 and I'm installing a 572 crate motor from GM with a modfied Viper 6 speed and a new Moser rear. It should rip!!!! I'll have it running for next summer.

I definitely know what you are saying. I took my E55 to Loeber last week and it's very hard not to drive that car with all the nice ameneties it has, even over the QX and S4. However, it's true - winters can get very harsh in Chicago and I just am way too **** to put my E55, or any AMG, except maybe a G55 (grin) through another winter. I spend too much time with clay, wax, and all that stuff to do it again.
Just my $.02
