My 05 does the same thing with ESP off as long as I floor it off the line. I haven't tried gas + brake.

I can lay stripes, but I can't get them to smoke in my 04.

I really don't get all this talk about 05s and 06s not being able to light up the rears. Lighting up the tires on my 06 is so easy with ESP off I have never driven the car in dyno mode. Of course I mostly do my burnouts in M mode so I control the shifts.
Observe: Burnouts only stop when I let go of the brakes since I am on street tires.

I let my buddy smash on it at a stoplight with ESP off. The rear end came out sideways halfway through the intersection. I can't imagine what it would do in dyno mode...
