E55 1/4 mile runs @ Gainesville today
Did some1/4 mile runs @ Gainesville Raceway today. Big thanks to Stephen K for renting the track for the day. He is a super guy with a beatiful (and fast) RENNtech modded SL600! I made 8 passes with my 06 E55 which is stock except for wheels & PS2's. Breezy & a chilly 58 degrees there. Not a helluva lot of technique involved as I was a little nervous. Short burnouts, ESP on, and a little brake torque. My 1st 1/4 mile ever was 2.07 60' & 12.68 @ 113.19. My best times of the day were 1.912 60' & 12.57 @ 113.33. My times and trap speeds were amazingly consistent for a noob, I guess thats not too bad for my first time running at a track. I am still grinning from the awesome experience!

Pete, Great runs and I'm terribly sorry I couldn't come out but there are still a few things amiss after the I-4 incident
I'll PM you the pictures. However, We do need to get together a CF GTG rather soon before the weather goes away.
Btw: Did it rain out there, We were drenched here

Had the beast all polished up nice and tried to keep it clean, but it was raining most of the way to Gainesville. The track was almost dry from earlier showers when I got there at 11:00, and completely dry by 12:00 - 12:30. I think the rain may have scared a few people away...Not as big of a turnout as was expected. I still had the time of my life!

The subs, box & amps is like carrying a 200lb body in the trunk!!

I bet that you'll run faster with less weight. My Vette runs .3-.5 sec slower with a rider. Granted the weight's not over the rear wheel, I think it's still better to be lighter.

Steve ran real consistent doing mostly high 11's. We did a couple of side by side runs & he pulled away easily on me. His SL600 is the *****!!! Props to RENNtech!

take out the weight...it will make a difference...the car will still hook without the weight in the trunk...
