Loren,
For your sake, you will want to think twice about daily driving on drag radials. If daily driving includes rain - BFGs are downright DANGEROUS when it comes to rain - ESP/LSD/or not. They hydroplane very easily and very violently. I've ran them myself and been coming home from the drag strip with cars on BFGs. If you saw what those cars were doing just from changing lanes, you'd never even think of daily driving on them. Lane changing on BFGs in the rain was almost enough to send them into a ditch.

Oh, I hear you... I wouldn't dream of driving in anything relatively moist in the tires. I have plenty of other cars, including the Hummer everyone hates but is the ultimate rain car! I'm just looking for something along the lines of these drag radials to put the power to the ground, that's it. I live in LA, so the whole 10 inches we see in a year is just silly to worry about. Its sunny and clear 95% of the time.
but thanks...

The S03 is still a pretty badass tire. I was surprised when it got substandard ratings in that C&D test. It doesn't have the engineering technology of the PS2's, but they were simply awesome when they had just hit the market. The same goes for the Bridgestone SP9000's.

Or perhaps they measured the numbers at the rear wheels and then had their software approximate flywheel numbers using a correction factor for driveline loss?

I talked to both the shops I know. The one in Northridge can get them in about a week. They are on backorder but he located a set in New Hampshire. Shipping will be about $25 per tire. My friend's name is Keith, but he wasn't there so I spoke to his partner named Kenny. Their phone number is (818)349-0647 in case you decide to go for it.
Good luck.
Good luck.

I prefer PS2's, but I do have other tires on other cars because I just can't make a PS2 fit.... The S03's are a pretty damn good tire, and used to be my favorite before the PS2 came out. The PZero Corsa's aren't too bad either. I've just started testing the F1 GSD3's and don't have enough miles on them and no track time yet -- so no opinion yet.

The 76 Unocal on Ventura and Zelzah used to carry 101 last time I checked. It's on Ventura just west of White Oak.
