Just got off the phone with Cory (Kleemann USA, Colorado Springs) and my car was delivered to him today. It was shipped to him by Passport Transport from Ohio.

Now the fun starts!!!!! K2, LSD, cooling pump, and repair of a botched paint job on my Renntech rear spoiler.

Cory promised me that DerekFSU would be eating my dust when the car is done.

Congrats! Should've gone K3 but that's just me. Also how can DerekFSU be eating your dust when he's also running K2 plus NOS? Or is he?

Cory told me that he would also send me a knife to slit Derek's tires.

From Kleemann:

Hello Dave-

Your E55 arrived in excellent condition! I see what you mean about the rear spoiler...... it almost looks like they didn't bother to prime it before they painted it. I know for a fact that my body guy can do a better job. I'll get a quote from him, and let you know when I hear back.

Now, for the fun part- I did some baseline runs on your car. It is just about exactly where MB says it should be- have a look at the attached dyno. It's making slightly less power and slightly less torque than MB rates it. The difference is about 2%, which can, in all reality be written off to dyno error. All in all, it did nicely. I've seen E55's make less power and I've seen other's make more- Yours is right in the middle, and in all actuality, right where it is supposed to be.

Now that the car is hot, and it's so late in the day, I'll let the car cool off on the lift, and get started on it tomorrow. I will most likely put the boost kit/ECU in tomorrow, do another few dyno runs, then get started with the headers, LSD and intercooler pump. I've also attached a few pics of your car sitting on the Dyno.

I'll be in touch with you tomorrow once I get the boost-kit installed, and another few dyno runs done.

Thanks Dave, and please don't hesitate if you have any questions!

It's almost like looking through the window of the nursery in the maternity ward. I bet you are REAL glad that it is not at Evosport right now. What a sickening feeling that would be. Congrats and I hope it screams. Keep us posted with some time slips.

Are you talking RWHP or some conversion done to estimate flywheel?

Good for you... Kleemann is definitely the way to go. You'll be very pleased!!! I've had mine for almost 3 months now and everytime time I drive it, I have a huge grin on my face. Rest assured that you're in good hands with Cory and Brandon.

BTW - that's a great looking dyno. You E55 boys sure do have a lot of power. My final dyno from Kleemann was 531hp / 540 lbs. torque with a baseline of 329hp / 335 lbs.

This is becoming more tempting to do the K3 setup. I'll have to wait until the CLS55 comes in so that way I am not missing my beast too much.

I believe that's a crank estimate.

Day Two!!!!!

K1 was done today, as well as a completed dyno (see below). I'm not sure why K1 is done first, or for that matter at all? I thought K2 ran a completely different ECU program. I need to ask Cory about this on Monday.

This is a great group to work with. Cory is very professional, extremely knowledgeable and always willing to talk to you (even if your car is not in his shop).

Update from Kleemann:

Hello Dave-

Attached is the Dyno sheet after the K1 modification. It's a tad low, but not bad, considering the ECU hasn't had time to adapt. It would easily see another 10-15 HP and about the same improvement in torque once the ECU re-learns it's fuel and timing maps. Things are right on schedule. I'll start on the headers/downpipes on Monday, and I'll probably knock out the LSD on monday as well, then put it back on the Dyno.

Have a great weekend!!

With that base dyno.....you should come in around the 585 mark. Mine started with with 496 and came out with 585.

Looks nice. What a torque curve.....just incredible.

Aren't all chassis-dyno numbers just estimates, regardless of how or where it's measured?
