06 Z06 Vs. 05 E55 SOON!

I will try to post pictures soon! Garage looks great with the E,Z06,Escalade.

THE E55 IS THE BEST CAR OUT THERE FOR THE MONEY!
If I sell mine I will look for a new one to replace it. I think I will always have a high HP MBZ.

The Z06 SUCKS compared to the E55.
Look

TQ=516lbs

ALL but the trackablity. and the E55 is not far behind!

And that is why I bought the car. Now that I have the hook up at the Spring Mountain race tracks. Any in the OC area that want to drive the Z06 PM me. I would like to meet more of you guys.

While I can't type any more I must go put miles on the Z06. I was awake at 4:30am and could not sleep. I have not taken past 4800 rpm yet only 31 miles still.

Now THIS is actually gonna be a good one!!!

We got stock E55 with filters and Drag Rads against the monster.

I gotta say......I think if the Z06 gets good hook up....it's got this one. YETTTTTT.....Draggin has to put the Drag Rads on the 55 so that gives us a shot. He has no LSD so without drag rads, no shot.

Vette spins.....we win.

It's nice to hear from someone who ACTUALLY OWNS both cars. The comments from actual owners always seem to be more acurate, you are on the frontline...not just on the sideline armchair quarterbacking like a lot of the guys on the forums do. I had a C6 too. I dumped it after 7 months, I too thought it paled in comparison.

a few...
its not quite so much that the Z06 does not live up to standards of the the E, I mean the E proposes a pretty good argument. There is no car out there quite like the E but the z06 must be one of the most phenomenal cars I have ever driven. They are in totally different classes but you can't get around the drivablility of the E and its amazing engine.

oh and past 4800 rpm is where the z06 really wakes up. You have even gotten the meat of that engine really, you will be shocked. Did you pull the fuse yet?

congrats...

maybe a k1 or k2 member or Evosport Stage 1 or 2 member should join you.

It would be intereresting to know how a chip and pullied K55 motor would run against a stock Z06....

Do Spring Mtn -- you'll love it. I haven't made it my local track yet, but it will probably end up to be.
I tried the Z06, for a track car mostly, and it didn't stay in the stables. I've thought about the new C6 Z06 -- but it would be for the same reason...and most probably end in the same result...
Enjoy the hell out of the thing though -- they are one helluva car...for awhile...if you don't have anything better...you see where this is going?

I have an 03 Z06 that makes 600rwhp/570ftlbtq....the thing is a beast, but its a handful to drive. When it was stock it could not beat a stock E55,because it was all over the place.Even with 600rwhp it would not be a match for a 500-550rwhp E55,because the power in the E55 is more lineir, even a novice can drive an E55 fast

Hey -- they're a great track car, I mean that. It's like every year I think of buying one. Bang for the buck is there. Almost-a-supercar for $60K? Heckuva deal. Beats the heck out of a Viper IMO (don't get upset Viper owners).
I think that a Covette with the LS2 motor would make a great track car, let alone a C6 Z06 with the LS7 -- the performance is there on the track. They're fun.

Thank you for all of the nice coments. Car now has 150 miles on it and I have taken it to 5500 rpms now. so I have felt the TQ but not the HP @ 6800 rpms.

When I drive it I am getting alot of thumbs ups and such. I always try to return with a hard blast so they know I bought it to drive it and I am not a 80 year old vett lover on his 10th vett. IT IS MY TRACK CAR. The E55 only last 5 or so laps before the brake over heat light comes on. Even when I let cool with cool down laps the Rotors still got hot spots and are trash now.

OH I guess I joined the Vett club too. All the Vetts that are on road and see me honk or throw me a rev. I have always hated the way Vetts drive but like the looks and concept. AND it looks sick in garage next to the E55. I might not drive the E55 for a week or so???

Z06 is hot in the center drive line area. Hot like I am hot even with the AC on.
Also my bother just got his NOS hooked up on his 98 Supra TT his is at 460 to the wheel and 530+ with the NOS. I am sure we will hook up a 3 way with the E55 and the Z06 and remember my dad has the Ford GT but he lives in Vegas.
