Best wheels for White W211 E55 ?

Thanks and I will shoot off an email if I decide to swap wheels. I just looked at Tire Rack's site and they have the AMG 2 piece wheels in 19 inch. That is a possibility, too. Ahhhh, choices.

I was at MB of Austin last week and saw a set of the split spoke 2 pc wheels with the anthracite color centers on an SL65. NE1 got info on these? Pics on white cars? Fitment on W211?

might wanna check maya stm's in graphite, great wheel. any hre is great. you should also consider a multi-piece rim, they are higher quality and if you mess one up you can just replace a part of it rather than a whole new wheels. one piece wheels tend not to be as sturdy and more likely to end up bent.
20's look perfect on the car, not too big- they don't rub you have no problems. 18's of any kind look sooooooooo stock and you might as well not even change them. 19's look good on a C-class, and just ok on an E-class, just look below-

Probably will go with the 19" anthracite AMG "65" wheels and just a slight drop. (switch pads?) Wanna' keep the stock/subtle look. I will spend the money on the Kleemann K2 upgrade. Any one got any leads on the SL65 wheels? Other than the dealer?

Tire Rack has the multi-piece 19 inch wheels, but I do not know if they are the same color as the SL65. Maybe they can get them if not. Try giving them a call. They should be cheaper than the dealer.

hmmm i think the difference is for the better- when you are making turns at any speed with say the stock rims and rubber on the car you can feel the tires "roll" because their profile/sidewall is fat and large (produces a similar feel to putting the suspension setting on 'comfort') so the *** end of the car feels slightly loose rather than firm. that's the #1 reason to get rid of those 18's. i think the ride is amazingly comfortable yet moderately stiff with my 20's, the e55 active suspension keeps it super smooth, my C32 on the other hands rides rough and stiff and very sportscar like on the renntech springs and low profile tires.

a few...
MB dealers do completely rip you, I was goin to get some 65 wheels, the anthracite ones, and they were trying to tell me itd be 10k. I just laughed and walked away.
C32 MIA- I have a black E55 and I was looking into getting some wheels in the next few weeks, I officially have the modding bug. What do you recommend, I think I want 20s and HREs are really nice but your wheels are sweet and Mayas are pretty cool too.

Agreed.
I'd save eBay for later though. When you PayPal stuff, the money you could have saved gets apparent... let me clarify.
eBay takes a certain percentage for listing the item, and then PayPal takes a certain percentage for the transaction.
Let's say the percentage taken is 5% (which I really don't remember from selling phones..).
Let's price out a set of 20" HRE's.
20x8.5F
20x10R
1518$ for the front rims each.
1723$ for the rear rims each.
1518 + 1518+ 1723 + 1723 = 6482$
Let's be generous and give a 20% discount when sold on eBay (I bet it might be more..)
.8 * 6482 = 5185$
Now, taking the 5% from eBay out and what not, you could have saved ...
5185*.05 = 259$
That's around ... a years supply of food for two college kids.
If you want some real pricing, send an email to info@euroteckmotorsports.com or sales@d2autosport.com
They are both proud MBWorld.org sponsors.

i would happily put you in touch with the people i deal with for my rims, they sell maya, hre, asanti, avus, etc. they have great pricing and are one of the biggest hre dealers in florida, just PM me
i have always liked hre's but this set of asanti's is impressive- the look, the build and the finish. my rims in chrome also look amazing, my friend has them on his e55- looks sick!!!
any of those brands will make you happy i promise!
check out asantiwheels.com, go to Forged Series at the top left, scroll down and check out #116, 121, 122, 123, 128 & 130. You can get them in any finish/paint color you want. i almost bought the 116's. i'm not on any kind of a budget- these wheels are hot. i like the paint finish better on the asanti's than on the hre's, i also saved $250 per wheel over the hre's. they all take about a month to get once you order.

There has already been some great additions to this thread so I will just clarify a few more things.
Fitment / pecs - do not exhaust yourself with learning all of the specifications for your vehicle, simply choose a competent dealer and that is their responsibility. We can provide the wheels in the correct spec and advise on tire sizing as well as lowering options that will not require any fender rolling and such. (and yes we can do this for iFORGED wheels! lol)
Ebay - I would not advise you to attempt to find the wheels that you want, in the size that you want, finish, spec etc and "hope for the best" on ebay. As already noted you can get a great deal, and the proper level of service and support that accompanies a premium product purchase by simply going with a authorized dealer.
Brands - You see to like the mesh styles, so my suggestions would be:
HRE - 540 / 840 / Competition Series
ZONE - model 1
AUTO-COUTURE - Lative
MAYA - STM
iFORGED - Essen / Seneka / Swift
You can feel free to VISIT OUR WEBSITE to see all of these wheels.
Have a great day.

4 wheels
Its the same wheels that come on the SL65 anda re graphite in color. They look drop dead gorgeous on our Alabaster White E55's. I got mine from a friend who purchased a SL65 as he went with HRE's lightweight rims I think. Fitment is great, just like the stock 18" rims, Clears the fenders nicely, offset is correct, I could not have asked for a better wheel IMO.
I would take a picture for you but im teaching my wife a lesson, and a hard one at that lol. :p
