I owned a Saleen Cobra Speedster that I had the interior pieces done with a UV coating and MAJOR fading, in fact Saleen originally made Carbon mirror covers but had to stop due to the fact they didn't add UV coating, they all faded QUICKLY! I had my pieces redone with UV coating since it was in an open air car without a top and then had ZERO problems... just checking on how your pieces were prepped...

Heat of the engine would be TWICE as bad as direct direct UV lighting due to the extreme heat generated from the engine bay, but overall the only thing you'd need to look at would be separation issues..
