Tire question
I saw a thread not too long ago re a recent study on tire performance. It may have been in one of the tire mags. I believe Goodyear was ranked no. 1 overall, but I could be wrong. I know Michelin PS 2 are the preferred tire by many in this forum, but I thought I read about possible problems in wet weather. What is your recommendations?

Go with the PS2's -- they are the best out there right now for a MBZ application in the majority of experienced opinions. Opinions on favorite and best tires will differ, definately; but you just can't go wrong with the PS2's -- only 1 or 2 in a hundred users wishes that they hadn't for whatever reason, and those percentages are higher with every other UHP tire, I've found....

They also make the F1 Fiorano, the F1 Supercar, and the F1 GS - which I rank in that order for performance.

I lost faith in the test after them rating our junk Conti's over the PS2s, what a joke! I have yet to meet a single individual who prefers the stock tires over their PS2s.

I haven't driven on PS2's but from what I hear they are the best out there. I do have the Goodyear Eagle F-1 GS D-3's and I have to say that they are incredible tires. I had Pirelli P-Zero Rosso's before and I like these a lot better. The Eagles are incredibly sticky and are great in the wet (I can go 70mph on the highway in a torrential downpour with no worries). They are also cheaper than the PS2's.

Chi500- Have you experienced any unfavorable amounts of noise on grooved concrete -- or any unwelcome noise levels with the Goodyears?
Oh, and I put PS2's on every one of my cars that they'll fit on.....
