Wheel Hop
Does anyone experience wheel hop during launching? Is this normal or should I just have a clean smooth burn out? I have K2 with LSD and PS2s. I'm having a lot of trouble putting the power on the ground even with the LSD
Thanks.
Thanks.

Are these on the factory 18s? How bad is the wheelhop?
I would vary the pressure from 27-34 in the rear and see if that makes any difference.

The tires are on the factory AMG wheels. My RWHP is about 460 to 470 with the car lowered an inch. The wheel hop will last a couple of seconds untils I back off the throttle. Other experienced drivers have tried it and mentioned the hop. What rear tire pressure seems to work best for people?
Thanks for the help.

I would be concerned with whether lowering has changed the geometry of the rear suspension.
Another thought is that when they added your LSD they have not torqued things correctly and somethings loose.
ONe more thing to check is whether you have a worn shock/airbag. I think several folks on the forum have had prematurely worn suspension items on the W211s.
You shoulld not have rear wheel hop unless you are running DRs, even then I wouldn't expect it from such a sophisticated suspension. Hope this helps solve the problem.

How many miles were on your car when your shocks went bad?
