Moroso Results:
Well the first time out was a lot of fun and I learned I need a lot more practice. I was a little disaapointed with my times but I guess with the weather almost everybody was a little off. At least I made it into the 12's on my last run.
Runs:
13.121 @ 110.97 ESP off bad RT but good launch
13.169 @ 111.39 ESP off ok RT but spun the tires
13.114 @ 109.09 ESP on good RT good launch
12.832 @ 110.59 ESP on bad RT good launch
I was pretty consistent albeit slow. My car is 100% stock and I ran with a full tank of gas.
It was great meeting everybody I can't wait to do it again, and Albert thanks for the coaching.

Can you post up your time slips....some of these guys are incredible on how they can tell you what you are doing wrong. Like 60' times and trap speeds.
If not no biggee.
Gotta love these cars....we get bummed when we run high 12's. If you lined up with a stock 1970 Chevelle SS with 454 LS6 and 12 bolt posi......you'd have won.
Just to put it in perspective.

Hey PAS
dont be too hard on yourself
now you understand why I was so keen to get to the track when it was cold and less humid - weather makes a huge difference.
What were your 60ft times? Completely ignore your RT's while you are trying to improve your ET's.
I am quite happy to let the other guy go and only start my run when I am calm and collected. For now ET's are all important - when you are running for pinks, then you need to worry about RT's

My 60 ft's were in order:
2.356
2.231
2.152
2.074
At least they got better as the night went on!

The problem is either IAT's or ecu software. Feels like I'm going backwards.
I did not make any NOS runs because I was warned by the track officials about going faster than 11.59 the minute I got there. So being that the car was slower on motor I knew it would not go faster then it did on friday. (11.37). If you are going to get banned it has to be worth it. :v
The problem is my good luck charm siswati did not go to the track.

Hey Guys
first off RFLOW306
Sorry about the no-show - will definitely make it the next cool night - working too hard and not even driving my car - still only has 200 miles, so if I see some cool weather going to arrive on a Wed or Fri, I will quickly take a drive across Florida to break it in.
Note cool weather coming Sunday, but warms up straight away
FOR ALL YOU GUYS - this is the best weather forecast graphic I have ever seen - has absolutely everything you need in a VERY EASY TO READ format that lets you see the trend immediately
Moroso Weather
To sporters78 -
thanks for the feedback - after seeing your times and those of the others that day, I was going to add that your times were real strong - but the mods do explain it. Heres to breaking in to the 11's shortly.

thanks for the 60ft times. I know the weather sucked - warm and humid. But you were getting your lauches dialed in as it went on. But you are still leaving way too much on the Launch. In fact there is at least .2-.25 seconds wating to be had on your launch, and that trasnlates into at least .3-.4 on the ET. (so taking your best ET of 12.832, with a launch 60ft time in the 1.8 range, you will haveyourself a 12.4 time, even for those conditions (all hypothetical I know)
My launch advice is as follows (and I am no expert but I do have several 1.7sec 60ft launches to my credit)....
rear tires 25 psi
fronts 40psi
1/2 fuel tank or less
drive around the water (street tire treads will track water to the launch)
ESP off
Comfort suspension setting
S mode tranny
1st gear
let other guy do his burnout first and stage first - you want to arrive at the line with hot sticky tires
do a decent burnout to warm tires (several disagree with me on this saying it doesnt help street tires, but my 60ft times vary greatly depending on length of burnout)
make sure you re-select 1st gear again after burnout - it will have changed to 2nd
ESP off (after I learned how to launch, my runs became MUCH faster with ESP OFF)
left foot on brake, right foot on accelerator
1000 RPM pre-load
After light changes, when ready, foot of brake and roll on gas until rear sits and squats, and then floor it
My advice in the beginning is to ignore the lights - only launch when you are calm ready and in control - ignore the guy next to you, let him go.
looking forward to our next run guys - there is a real camraderie in this group and we should make the next cool night a great GTG

2010 ZR1 2011 JGC Overland 2013 ML63 on order
I can relate to your times being a bit off. I ran at the track in Orlando on Wed with lots of thick 70 degree air and the best run of the night was my first 12:73 @111.86 2.03 60ft
I ran in Comfort setting and ESP on. brought the revs to 1100 and eased on the gas as the weight shifted to the rear.
Was hoping to pull a bit better as the night went on but heat soak took its' toll.
Want to make it up to Gainesville and try out the track up there. Anyone been up there?

rear tires 25 psi - Did that
fronts 40psi - Had them at 50
1/2 fuel tank or less - full tank will try next time with less
drive around the water (street tire treads will track water to the launch) - did that
ESP off - first 2 off 2nd 2 on
Comfort suspension setting - check
S mode tranny - check
1st gear - check
let other guy do his burnout first and stage first - you want to arrive at the line with hot sticky tires - will try it
do a decent burnout to warm tires (several disagree with me on this saying it doesnt help street tires, but my 60ft times vary greatly depending on length of burnout) - I did decent burnouts but I need practice on the whole staging thing.

ESP off (after I learned how to launch, my runs became MUCH faster with ESP OFF) - will try it
left foot on brake, right foot on accelerator
1000 RPM pre-load - i was at 1200 rpm
After light changes, when ready, foot of brake and roll on gas until rear sits and squats, and then floor it - need practice
