Deposit on e55 w211?

i have a clause though, if s55k shows up sooner i will get the #3
My car has just past production yesterday and is currently "produced not shipped status"
I will be doing the 19" CL - Multipiece AMG Wheels, I need to get the center bored out and need spacers to use it but I think the CL wheel should look really good with the W211.
I'll probably get the car in mid to end September
That's great!! But why the 19"c CL i think the mesh looy type will look better. I've seen the W211 with 19"s CL if you do a search on this forum you'll find it. But it's all good. Also when do you guys expect the arrival of the E55 W211 in your location??
Thanks!

Not sure if anyone already stated this, but how much of a msrp increase are we expecting betw the current e55 and the next gen?
The jag is only slightly faster than my current GS4, has brembos, and yet takes longer to brake.
I couldnt compare the current E55 to the GS4, let alone the next gen one with 475 horses. Economic conditions, on the other hand, may be a reason to keep base at 73k. If things pick up, I have no doubt that it can easily go up 4-5k. Keep in mind that BMW's next gen M5 with the V10 will force them to push up their sticker, and inevitably allow MB to inch closer or beyong that price.
Despite my ramblings, I could only drool to get the new E55 at that 73k base price+options, if it is indeed true.

my guess is probably low 80k,all supercharged 55's will go up 10-15k.still e heck of a deal ,considering the performance.
How would you explain the addition of the supercharger to the C-Class and the price drop. Mercedes added a supercharger to the C32 (349HP) with a base price of $49,900 while the 1998 C43 (302HP) base price was $53,000. The 1995 C36 (268HP) base price was $49,800.

i'm afraid mb people see those mark-ups on hot cars and will venture with higher prices.
Jam, I can't find the pic of the 211 with the CL's, can you post it for me? All i found was Vic55's car with the onepiece 19" CL's.
I'll try to look for it and post it later.
The main difference (if any) would be in option pricing/packaging.
But I doubt the 211E55 will be above $75K without options (which will be few anyway).
Thanks to this forum I put my deposit down today. It said simply that I would pay MSRP if and when the car is produced. They were not exactly exhuberent to take my money, but evidently there are already a couple of people with reservations in with them. Based on what I have seen in the SL55 section, I would not want a slip saying market price.
At the time, they initially called back and said "We can't take this, it's too early." I then spoke to the Gen Mgr and I've been #1 on the list ever since!
Same price as a current M5? sign me up! Otherwise, I might have to think about the E39 M5, one of the last in production.
If your going the M5 route why not wait for the V10 next year?
Looks like it.

Newbie, here, but does anyone know of a good dealer in the Bay Area that's taking a deposit for the E55. I talked to one in Burlingame and he wanted a $5K deposit and did not take credit cards. Only wanted cash or check. He also said the wait was one and a half to 2 yrs. Any recommendation would be greatly appreciated.
I live in the NY/NJ area, and I put down a deposit at Prestige Mercedes in Paramus, NJ for $500 for the W211 E55. My salesman told me I was #1 or #2 on the list -- wasn't quite sure -- but had no problem taking my money. Anyway, if it costs $600 to ship a car coast-to-coast, have you considered perhaps purchasing one out here? It seems demand isn't quite as high in the northeast. Oh, and he told me that if I were lucky, I'd get the car in the spring, but more likely in the fall.
