How to pull down overhead console for radar install?

Anyone know how the overhead console that has the lights, sos switch and sunroof switch comes down? I'm going to hardware my V1, but don't want to break anything...

I'm not positive about this, but ... I believe that if you pop off the 2 translucent light covers (the larger ones), there are 2 small holes. If you stick something sharp (e.g., scratch awl) in these holes, you release clamps. Then you can twist the mirror out & you will see how to remove the entire assembly.

I hope this is helpful.

you don't need to pull it (the int. lights) down...do a search there are some great instructions as to how to hard wire the V1. I just did the one I got for XMAS, it was easy....good luck

Does anyone have the integrated V1 in their rearview mirror? I have it on my BMW but have not seen it for Mercedes.

V1 uses 12v. There are 4 places where 12v are found,(that I know about) the cig lighters, front headlights and the battery. I tied into the headlight circuit. Getting into the cigarette lighters is tricky and I haven't found the secret to getting them apart. As far as I know nothing in the dome light assembly has switched 12v, it's all low voltage. Hope this helps.

I got the overhead console down, you remove the small plastic trim piece that goes around the rear view mirror, then there are two buttons up there to release the clips.... it was mess up there, all kinds of ribbon cables and such, so I just ran the wire down the the cigarette lighter, much easier.....

tap into the cig lighter and then run the wire above the passenger footwell under the dash and up the passenger side a pillar.
