2003 E55 AMG
Easy to install?? On a W211?

I thought the top half of the motor (including blower) had to come off the car along with alot of ancillary components.

Also, the cost of the cams is $4,000 installed I believe. Not worth the hassle for 15hp in my opinion.

Not sure how hard the install is but i think they are great in the midrange rpm. When you hit it pulls like a freight train! I'm running a set of them right now and i love it! If you have the $$$$ do it!

Cam install

I looked @ the installation guide provided with the cams . Picture shows the Kompressor in place . Instructions do not say to remove the Kompressor. looks like about a 6 hour job if you stay with it. and no interruptions. As for me , it will take 2 weeks. I'm having the Valve covers thermo coated.

Anyone have an idea of what the part cost is $$$$ ????????

Doing the ECU sometime before spring and the cost was very resonable for such a highly acclaimed tuner.

How many hours to install the cams?

Damn, why do I have cams on the brain when the K2 isn't even wrapped up yet?

we understand......i am in the process of doing the k2 mod,and already i am thinking k3 and k4.........I might skip the k3 which is installing the cams,b/c i do not want to go into the motor as yet,so i might just do the k4 which is the t/b......they say they yield great power from that mod.,but we will see what happens after the k2 mod.

Not exactly sure how many hours to get the cams installed. Had mine installed at Kleemann CO directly. If you've got the $$$$ i'd say do it! You'll notice a kick in the mid range. At least for me.

That's what i thought too but per Kleemann you're not "really" going into the motor.
So i guess going with a K4 Mods installed without the cams shouldnt be a problem..
Good luck with the K4 and pls keep us posted.
