All 6.3 motor hating aside please, do you think price will really drop for our 5.5's.
Just wondering if I should sell mine before the 6.3's start rolling out.
Would hate for the price to plummet and not be able to sell.
Haven't been a Benz owner for that many years. What happened to the W210 prices when they rolled out the 2003 E55. Did they quickly drop?
Thanks for any input.

Hate to sound like an a$$, but I hope prices do drop. I'm trying to get an 03-04 in about a year. I think these cars will still hold their value...enthusiasts know what they are worth.

Don't know if this means much, but look at the midsize category:

I think it's going to go down as well. Like some have said, the new engine and the CLS. That's why i'm looking to sell mine now. Test drove a 997 S yesterday and would like to move into that for a couple of years. My car has become a garage queen and I think a 997 S would be a lot more fun to drive around in. I love my car and all, but it goes really fast straight. I think I would like something a little more hard edged and more involving to drive

For now, folks will want the latest, so the value will be low because of those holding out for th E63, and those selling theirs to "upgrade". The CLS has not helped matters either. Seems most of the folks on this board that have sold their E55 have sold it for the CLS. I won't ever be one of those, since my entire reasoning behind the purchase was the usability that the CLS cannot match. However, I feel that down the road, the E55 will hold its value better than the 6.3 equipped cars. But for now that is only speculation.

The 55K cars should hold their value very well due to the ease of modifications. It won't take much for the 55K cars to be quicker than the NA 63 models. Many are going to hold on the the 55K for this reason alone. So many people ditched the 210 E55 once the 211 E55K came out because it put the car in a whole different league. The E63 will not likely pace itself that far from the 55K and by that time mods will be cheaper on the E55K than they are now.

me too... hopefully I could get an 04 or 05 this year.
If had a 03 e55, I would really start to think of getting rid of it. Warranty is about to expire and early build is not that great.
