I wouldn't doubt the next E looks a lot like that illustration. After going to the BH stealer today to ogle the new S class, it's more than likely the rest of the line will follow its cues.
As for my impressions of the S class, I thought the leather was finally as soft as that in the big boaty lexus. Other than that, I thought it was nicer than photos, but overall it didn't get me excited. Big freakin' car, man. I'm partial to the last gen S class, which has a very similar behind the wheel feel, sizewise, etc. Lots of toggle-style switches on the dash this time, compared to the rocker-style switches of the past. It really has a "poor man's Maybach" character to it, but since most people out there will never see or sit in a Maybach, this doesn't really matter all that much.
Smart money's on getting a newish S55 at murderous discount from dealer stock somewhere -- I'd reckon the deals oughtta be out of sight on those anymore. Besides, something as electro-gadget heavy as the new S class would be a bleeding edge one would have to be a fool, very wealthy, or both to want to be on.

Repost, and quite frankly, I dont like it. Looks way too bland. Used to be Lexus would imitate M-B, but now the trend appears to have reversed.

I don't even know how many times I have seen this horrible PS.
If you honestly beleive that this is the next E... you shouldn't be driving one. Look at the lines of the front bodykit and how they don't actually line up!!! Come on.
