Pano roof question: 1-touch close?

Any of you guys (or gals) out there who have the pano roof: Do you have 1-touch closing of the sunshade and/or glass? My roof opens with one touch but I have to hold the switch to close it. I'm hoping this is a factory "setting" I can have my dealer change....thanks.

Not that I'm aware of, mine works the same way. It's kinda like the front windows which are only one touch down. Maybe someone will chime in with a solution.

Yeh its factory. I think its a safety thing.
Umm, if I remember correctly the front windows have this thing where if it is closing by itself (1touch)and it feels resistance (eg. hand) it will stop rolling up, However they dont have that on the Pano roof.

So you cant 1touch just incase its closing by itself and your wife/gf decides to stick her head out the sunroof and ........ bon voyage.. no more headjobs

The panoramic roofs do not have one touch closing for the exact reason mentioned - lack of pinch protection. Apparently, it is a very difficult thing to pull off. Mainly it's due to the whole panel moving up and over the roof and how to detect a pinch situation from any possible direction.

I talked to a few of the people from Webasto (who make the roof) and they are activley working on a solution. One interesting possibility they mentioned would be a laser light curtain to detect a pinch situation. We'll just have to wait and see, I guess.

Something is definitely wrong with my window switch thanks for bringing that up. I always thought it was normal for it to work in one direction like the pano.

I think the window 1-touch might be a dealer-set option...??

The one touch up function can be lost when the battery is disconnected. It is simply reset by rolling up the window to the top step and holding the switch there for 1-2 seconds. Then it will work one touch up again.
