a few...
I looked at this post and just shook my head, although it was apparently the guy's first time at the track. Of course, all of the M5 guys refer to the MB drivers as idiots but to each their own.

I am on the opposite side of the road as of now, but I still love the Es. I just think it is absolutely pathetic how the M5 guys degrade the 55ers so much, just kinda shows some of the guys respect level for different drivers and cars.

I would bet the brake warning light came on and he had to get new rubber on all four corners.

Did you notice how the M5 board replaces the word "pig" with ***

What a bunch of pussies over there that they censor the word pig...

2003 E55 & 2014 GL550
Forgive me...I am such a rookie on the circuit track.

That is what all the magazines talk about when they say the E55 has tremendous oversteer right??

If that was an M5 and you took her into the corner too fast, what would happen?? Would it do the same thing? Just at a much higher speed correct? Just curious.....

its all on the driver...the car has nothing to do with spinning out of control.
the posting is a bit of a low blow.

f the owner did not know how to use the torque on the 55k correctly, and it was their first time on a track, it will happen and continue to happen.

It is just funny how the M5 boys like to always blame in the car. The E55k is not ment for the track guys, yes we do know! Thanks to M5board.com never failing to remind us AMG owners.

At least the 55k does not a quart of oil every 1200 miles, avg 8mpg city driving and have a bunch of transmission failures, not to mention brake line recalls and a handi cap Launch Control. According to alot of their owners, the SMGII is not what they thought it would be.

LOVE the M5, but is far from perfect.

yea, if they really can't tell he was either inexperiened or screwing around, then they shouldn't be on the roadcourse either.....

we could just post a pic of those two totalled M5's and say, "typical" M5 owner..... then what...

That was hilarious (and dangerous)! It always amazes me when people try to drive cars way above their own limits. This guy needs some serious instruction.

As far as the M5 crowd is concerned, I instructed for the BMCCA & PCA for 6 years and seen some of the worst drivers on the track. Especially the guys that show up with $15-$20k of modifications to their car (insert Ferris Bueller playing the saxophone) "and not one lesson". They really get pissed off when they are getting lapped by stockers with guys that can drive and then say "just wait until I get my next mod". All the mods and best of everything (including the car) can't make you a better driver.

To correct you..it burns about 1 liter every 3,000 miles like the Lambo and Far, the M5 also gets 14 miles in city driving while hammering it a few times and normal driving. Tranny failures, well not realy in the USA. Brake line was never recalled and has nothing wrong with it. SMG is better than expected, nobody can shift as fast as S6! shotgun shifts..oh..Launch Control, not realy needed if you have ever had a ride in an M5 you would know. Road and Track had no problems getting it to launch. No need to rag on other peoples choices in cars.....that goes for all boards. We are all CAR LOVERS, there us no need to put other brands down. The M5 board has their insecure members that have to try to put down the MB to make themselves feal better. Don't be one of them here. Total 2 diff cars. If you want a "car put down war" on cars, join the SRT-4 Neon forum, that is the fastest, best car in the world, just ask them.

The E55 is only about 6 seconds behind on a given track. That driver that made those mistakes alone is about 11sec. That was a maniac that just couldn't drive! He must have just watched "Days of Thunder" and decided to get on the track with his E55. Yes the M5 is fast and does well on the track BUT, the e55 is not exactly slow on a track, it beats most when properly driven. There are a lot of car video's of idiots doing dumb things, can't blame the car guys. You just have to know your limits as well as the cars. E55 can't dive into a corner at 55mph...

Whatever keys I grab first...
LMAO! "Not a slow car"!? You betcha-- especially since the E55 kills the 13-second M5s that can't launch worth a damn. M5 owners are... I'm not even going to say it, but I can't wait until I catch an M5 at a light.

they run under 12.50's at 116-118 all day....if you think 13's you will be sadly mistaken when you try to catch up to 1. And don't try to race him after 20mph,,,your best shot is "at that light" cause if your not out in front first, you never will be. Read the day at the track thread, don't go out in the world with bad information like the M5 just runs 13's. I had said "the e55 is not exactly slow on the track", this means, in the circut track respect like in the video that this tread is about. So quick to bring up the 1/4.......nobody said anything about it in this whole thread. Most races on the street don't end at 1/4 mile. And I hope you don't ever try it with the SL 500....you have an E55 right?

WTF? This from a guy who was so obsessed about M5 1/4 times that he faked timeslips and got nailed. Jordan - Do you think we all forgot so soon?

Not sure I follow..I am sure FISKE can back this data up. This data is what is going on in real world. This is not a Tony Robbins audiance, not everyone follows bullshik here.

So - you didn't post fake slips in a desperate attempt to convince people that the M5 can run low 12's at the strip? Did that whole episode not happen?

Or are you saying that because Fikse saw a slightly modded M5 run 12.4's and 12.5 at the strip, we should all forget how you took us all for fools and accused another member of being the lying *******?

Please.

again,,no....and many M5 run 12.4's 12.5's..that is just what they run. Not my fault, i didn't build the car.

So your saying the M5's don't run low to mid 12's....please...don't say No, I don't want the people that go to the track to think you don't know what your saying. Dragtimes, might be posting bad information on Stock M5's Times. Ensom doesn't belive FISKE and his information.

Removing a charcoal air filter is not a mod.

NOW...lets get back to the subject of the video and how bad the driver was.

No. Let's stick to the topic of what you did. It is more interesting than one sole time slip of one M5 running a 12.4.

So what was the story again, Jordan? Was the neighbor brought to justice?

not sure I follow.....start a new thread about anything you want....this one is about the video of an E55 at the track. I can't answer about what I don't know.

Don't make this thread about Fiske being wrong and his data being BS, thats not cool. You can start a thread about the M5 not running 12's if you want, I doubt people will read too much as Fiske has proof. What did I say in this thread that was not true? Did I bash the E55 or the M5? I just fixed what bad info was being said about the M5 and was BACKING up the E55 in that it was not as bad as what the video showed..Please go back in this thread and READ.
