K4 Pulley + ECU + Headers + Cams + Exhaust + Throttle Body (not sure if this is essential to having a K4 -- need to check with Kleemann)

MB 2006 CLS55 K4/LSD, 2006 VY C6Z06, 2005 X5 4.4
my car is going to cory at kleeman this week for dyno tuning, a tweek on the TB (check engine light due to the Throttle Body), he will provide dyno graphs. I have K4(with cams) with LSD & Kleemann Lowering & 20 inch chrome Vellanos. They are telling me to expect about 575 at the rwhp, but the extra fine tuning were looking to flirt with 600 rwhp. Right now the car is untouchable. I have killed viper, charger(hemi), M3, M5, CL55 & a C5 a few rice burners, so far no contest, not even close. I am in love with this car and the power it delivers. I dying to find a C6 z06, I think that me provide some real competition. As soon as the weather get better I am going totry and get on the track, to see some real numbers. I will post info from Kleeemann and Graphs as they come in.

I think a C6 Z06 is going to have a hard time beating you.

Do you have the Maybach Throttle body on your K4? I assume so. Wonder what is causing the engine light to come on.
As far as 600 rwhp I would love to see that but am puzzled how it can be that high. My car basically a K2 + full Evo cooling kit and exhaust put down 484 rwhp/ 558 rwt. I wouldn't expect the cams to add more than 15 rwhp and maybe another 30 for the TB. Said differently I don't see how a K4 car can lay down more than. 530-540 rwhp. I can't wait to be proven wrong though.
Good luck and let us know how it turns out.

Agreed!! That number sounds very high. 720hp at the crank? I will be interested to see the trap speed of a K4 car. A K2 E55 can trap @123, so a K4 CLS55 car will trap at................................................ ..?

575 rwhp by adding cams and TB?!?!? That doesn't sound right. Aren't most all the K2's running approx 460 - 490 rwhp? The K2 that I'm picking up is pushing 472 rwhp and 545 rwtorque.

Rock - At 720 HP, the Drive-Train would be using -up 20% of the HP from the Crankshaft. IMO that is way to high for Drive-Train loss. 15% Max would be a more realistic number and would put the Crankshaft HP @ 690 HP, which is possible with good Gas, Tuning, & Cool Weather.

I thought I read somewhere that the "standard" K4 was making between 620-640 fwhp. If so, another 20-40 could be possible with attention to car-specific tuning.
If this is correct, a K4 could come close to that mark I suppose. Wasn't there a CLS55 member who was making like 540rwhp with a K2?

My car was definitely a mini-monster. LOL. My best run was 11.997 @ 117. Your stock e55 was only 2/10 slower at the same mph. E55's are torque monsters! That same day you were there, I was pulling 12.2 - 12.3 at 115 on 91 octane. A bit dissapointing, hence the reason I'm going the e55 route.
Indeed. I'm buying a 2004 E55 w/ K2. I will also be going the K4 route. Currently the E55 K2 that I'm buying is pusing 470 rwhp / 540 rwtorque. Should be good for 11.8 @ 122-123 or so. The car is being shipped next week.
Do you go to the Sunday rollons? After I get my E55 we'll have to meet up.
Tell Daniel to call me.
-Josh

Yep. I actually ran a 12.3 at 114 totally stock with a 1.9 60 ft... first run ever. I can only imagine what the K4 will run. Mid-Low 11s at 125+ .. ? I bet you run your K2 estimated 1/4 mile times your first time out!

Heading to get the E washed, then to Starbucks in a few. Daniel is my next-door neighbor. I am sure he will be up there today. Can't wait until you get your E. That is going to be one fast ride.
Looks like there will at least be a couple of K4s here in town

I did figure 20% but even at 15% (690hp) that number is still 100 hp+ over a K2 setup. Where is all the extra power coming from?

Rock is right on the money....Cor at Klee claims it comes in right around 19%...
You gotta give the Benz tranny some props though....it can propel a 2 ton+ luxury sedan to near 12 flat quarters bone stock all day long. Of course Lenko 3 lever bullet-proof racing tranny she is not, but man that thing takes some punishment and keeps on delivering.
(us on our trannys)
IMO that is way to high for Drive-Train loss.

I believe the number is high to. I was hoping for 560 or better but there is another cls in Florida (tony007, I think) amd he is getting 525 rwhp, so cams & tb should add another 40-50hp. We see I will keep you guys up to date. I am thinking about flying over to Kleemann to be there for the dyno run, If I can go I will make a video of it.

Would love to. My wife and I both just got new jobs and we are in training the weeks surrounding that weekend. That would be the only weekend we would have to see each other. If I have ANY chance of getting my new HREs, I should not even ask about going drag racing that weekend.
