What's the fattest tire I can run on the 19X9 and 19X10s? I don't mind the slugish handling, and actually want to keep some of the cushion of the 18s. i just want fatter (for looks) and launch traction

Why not go a 10.5 and run a 285 rear. Largest you can fit on the W211.

If you are doing a 285 stick with a 10.5. Can it technically fit on a 10? yes, but it will be very stretched tire and you will probably rub. The cost of a 10 to 10.5 is like nothing.

If the wheels have the correct offset with 19s with the 285 on a 10.5 rear you will not rub. Key again there is the correct offset. You can also get at least a 3.5" + rear lip on the rears if the dealer has the correct specs.

sounds good. how about the front. if I stick to 19", what is the fattest I can get in there? will I need to stick to the 245s? I was hoping for 265s. is that too much?

No way with a 265. I would personally stick with a 245. You can probably do a 255, but i would not do it. You would be asking for big time rubbing.

If you are considering the 255, you have to watch what sidewall profile you go with because the control arm bolt at the top will dig into the tire if the sidewall profile is "too big"
