Best wheel / tire setup for 1/8th mile drags??
Tell me fellas. I am thinking of grabbing a set (just for the rears), so i can go and play at the Q. I gotta find a way to beat that SL65 I hear about!!

Let me be a little more clear:
The things I want to know are:
Wheel diameter. I assume smaller is better, right? or No
Tire profile: I assume bubble is better.
Tire compound: I assume something that heats up quicker than say a track tire?

The simple solution is a pair of 275/35/18 BFG drag radials on your stock wheels. Tire Rack has them in stock. The complicated solution is a custom set of 16" wheels from CCW and a pair of MT or Hoosier slicks.

This set up is a cheap way to play on the weekends at teh Q. I still want to do the real setup for the street wars! I figue a set of rears and some DRs would be had for about $1500. That's not too bad to play for a season!!
