Hello. New forum member here. I am looking at a 2003 E55 AMG to purchase with 29k miles on it. Anything that I should look out for?

Also looks like this car should sell for between 54 and 60k, is that about right? It has no nav.

check if the car has received the following:

IC pump replacement

MAP replacement

kompresoor shut off after a few WOT runs

if the car comes with an extended warranty, than you have nothing to worry about.

However most 03's are near their original warranty and you need to make sure the car is not a bad apple.

check the records from the dealer.

Get one w/CPO from the dealer.

just check the service records with the dealer...most of the 03 problems go away with dealer updates. You can also add nav very easily.

I was not aware that i could get a navigator system in the 03 E55.
Is there someone who had a navigation system installed on their 03 E55?

Don't pay more than mid 50's. There are a bunch of E55s with the same mileage going for that range. I have seen one with 19K for $52.

i am looking for a e55 as well. in hawaii 03's are going for mid to high 60s
