Speedtuning pulley & ecu, 1st cat removed.

I have done these about 1 month ago...
my w211 e55 is definitely faster than before.(1/4 miles : 12.6 ,not on the drag track and not with drag radials. on public road and with 19 inch : )

but, faster only to 250km/h....up there, my e55 seems to be slower than before. (250~300km/h)

is it because of the stock exhaust? what do you think of tunned exhaust(ex:eisenmann..)?

thanks in advance^^

Where on earth can you drive regularly at >250kph, that would make changing the exhaust worthwhile?

Changing the exhaust will to my opinion, not give you more top end power. I still have the stock exhaust on my SL, with front cats removed, and i have no problem above 250 km/h. No lack of power, just pulls straight up to 320 Km/h. ( German Autobahn ). My SL was Mod. at Kleemann ( stage 4, 654 Hp.), and to my opinion, the big difference to you mod. is the changing of the cams and headers. These 2 items do a world of diff. The Kleemann cams
gives you a kick in the bud, at 4500 Rpm., and they pull clean up to 6300 Rpm. You can rearly fell when they kick in. Kleemann cams have max torque between 3000 and 5800 Rpm.

The stock cams are, to my knowledge, designed to deliver max torque between 2750 and 4000 Rpm., so they just run out of torque, when you exceed 250 Km/h.

The headers supports the cams at higher Rpm., so that the engine can breath freely.

Was your car run on the dyno, after the cats where removed ?

there are so many roads to go beyond 200mph in Seoul, Korea..(Not during the day..crazy traffic~~ ) Cops dont really care and as long as you keep the temporary license plate renew like every 3months (It is possible in Korea...which is illegal..), you wont get a ticket (Lots of cameras~)

not stock.
JAJA... try venezuela... COPS have no such things as laser / radar guns..detectors, none of that bull..... cameras are out of the question, and we have AUTOBAHN-like roads that go cross-country.

on the fast lanes... you can probably cruise 120-180km/h...with some occasional braking...etc, but on low/no traffic days,..... cruising at 200+ is achievable, do it in my old 500SE all the time.
