New shoes and some mods...

Got these shoes a week ago, the car is dirty but I wanted to snap some pictures...

I had this grill on my E500, installed it on my E55 or should I take it out?

Shoes are wrapped w/Bridgestone Potenza RE050A 255/35/19 front & 285/30/19 rear...

Black out the 2 silver bars above and below the star...it will look much nicer. I'd also remove the front plate and it's holder.

Thank you all for the comments/suggestions...

Hehehe... Yeah, I am planning to wash the car tomorrow (should have waited for a car wash b4 the pictures).

Wheels came from Tirerack.com (you have to pick your car as CLS500 in order for these wheels to appear).

The CL grill was an experiment (I bought it for the E500 but sold the car and kept it)... I am looking for a place to paint my OE grill black like Jangy (I dont want to do it myself).

Vic55, rubbing happened in setting II with two people in the backseats going over speed bumps (I think 275/30/19 will not RUB), also the AMG plate was bought from EBAY for $10.

nice trick. so any wheels that will fit a CLS500 should fit the E55 as well? just slightly different offset?

love the car, nice job!

Looks good...

I think proper offset for 211 E55 on 19x8.5 front is ET 30 and 19x10 is ET33...

I hope that with Lowering module proper offset 285/30 on 19s wont rub...

Looks good and clean. Take out the grille though. It doesn't look right for an E55.

Car looks great but I am not too partial to that grille.. I think it ruins the lines of the E55... That's my $0.02 anyways..

Unfortunately when you remove the front plate you are left with the 4 little holes the dealer put in the bumper when putting on the front plate. I hate it on mine and have removed the plate and am still looking for something to fill those holes so it doens't look so funky.

Nice wheels!!!!! I agree remove the front grill.

I have the same problem with the front plate on my S55. The AMG plate doesn't look bad....although it might not attract so much attention if you put some black screws in instead?

Nice looking car!

Yes, the grill will be off by this weekend (I didnt think it looks right but I had to install it while the original grill gets the ALL BLACK transformation). I dropped off my OE grill to a friend's place this morning to get it painted ALL BLACK.

The front AMG license plate carried over from my E500Sport but it will be gone soon since I just ordered some bumper-plugs from bumperplugs.com.

The folks at tirerack did not think that these CLS55 wheels will fit my E55. I had to take a chance on them since I saw an E55 with them in Arcadia, CA. I am lucky that everything went well with the trial but I wish I bought the 275/30/19 instead...

Thanks again guys for your comments/suggestions...

Where did you get the rear spoiler, I like it!

Any news from your SA? If not can you try him/her again, as if your SA is like mine return calls take way too long. Thanks

Possible... I am thinking about raising it a bit via STAR since I like to drive in the II setting.

CLS55 E25 Front and E28 Rear. If he lowers the car or corners hard, they will rub, for sure, at the point where the bumper plastic meets the rear fender.

No it is not! It rubs only at the trailing edge of the rear fender, where the rolled metal meets the sharp molded plastic bumper. It is that sharp plastic edge that will gouge your tire. You can file it off, but then your bumper will fall off...
