Naw, I dont think so... My friend's 20s are at front 245/30/20
rear 285/25/20 (like Jay55).

On a different note, I have a change in color on the M3... Thinking of doing Gloss Charcoal instead of Hyper Black... (I want to bring out some contrast of the wheels vs completely blacked out)... Damn...

Modulare!

go with the modulare. i personally know the owner and the quality/craftsmanship of the wheels. you cannot go wrong with having these wheels on your car! in the world of forged 3 pc wheels there are doers and has beens....can you guess which one modulare is? forget about overpriced HRE and underengineered iforged. yes, a bold statement but in this industry its true...

Dude if you want something new, why not get some Champion Monolite RAC's through Evosport?

I reckon they could organize a buy for W211 owners if the interest was high enough like they did for the E60 M5.

Ricky,

Although those wheels are decent asthetics wise and really functional, I think alot of the forum members here are going for the 3 pc, reverse mount wheels with some lip. Mercedes is a great platform for the 3 pc wheel industry. Just my 2 cents.

HRE is a custom (made to order) wheel that is hub centric (AVUS is not and caused major wheel vibration). Needless to say, I have since returned the AVUS and ordered a set of HRE 840r's. I don't know too much about Modulare, I'm just telling you what happened when I choose another wheel over HRE.
BTW, any CUSTOM 3 pc wheel should be HUBCENTRIC and fit your car WITHOUT SPACERS. Thats the least you should be asking for when you decide to spend your hard earned $$ on custom forged wheels.

I've placed my order with Modulare M3 BLACK already but I have a change in color now. I changed it to Charcoal instead of Hyper Black... I hope I made the right choice.

I particularly like the LIP on these wheels (2" on front and 3 1/2" on the rear)... Loving it... I hate waiting though... Damn...

Ridiculous isnt it? When you're paying $XXXX.XX on custom wheels, shouldnt that be the least of your worries? I'm still astonished that there are forged wheel companies out there using glue on rivets and welding their rim parts together...I guess the cheaper the production cost the better for the company...but how about the consumer????

The 547R probably is one of the best looking wheels out there in the current market but I personally think HRE is completely PLAYED OUT... I want the UNIQUE LOOOK. :-) That's just my opinion.

Happy motoring...

You're probably right on the dot. I guess it was just wishful thinking for me.

iForged does offer the wheels hubcentric without the centering ring for many years; just request this option.

But hubcentric is hubcentric using the centering ring or not.

underengineered? How?

iForged owner has two engineering degrees including a master degree. Production is managed by an Industrial Engineer.

I doubt if there is any other custom wheel company with more engineering experience or engineers.

Cyan1 - aren't you also Cyan740 who is also the owner of iForged?
Don't sign up using more than one sn, if you are also Cyan740 let me know so I can merge the two accounts.

Excellent choice picking up the M3s. Everyone and their mom has HREs nowadays and getting some wheels that not too many people have is always a good thing!

Does that mean you are a bigger/badder partner (earn more money, own more shares) in your firm? Can you give us MBworld members steeper discount on your wheels? If so, I like to pick up another set of 19" Daytona for my other 55...
