just an update on hp gains.
approximately 30hp/30tq for vrus' tb upgrade on a dyno dynamics machine (which reads 10% lower than a dynojet and is comparable to a mustang dyno). the good thing is that the gains are not just in the top end. the power increase starts at 2800rpms with most of the power accounted for by 3500rpms. while 30hp may not seem like much, it is when it's spread over the entire powerband! it was also worth .3 seconds off my 1/4mile times while on street tires. actually, it's probably worth more but i now have to make passes with esp on (or use drag radials).
i'll post dyno results for the slr cams soon.

Since ET's are influenced by so many variables, could you please comment on any change in trap speed, instead? Thanks.

Hey guys, does anyone have a stock throttle body lying around. All I need is the part number. If someone would be so kind as to post it, I would really appreciate it.
Thanks
Thanks

Wow!!! (:
In the cool So. Calif air (it was 72 degrees in Irvine last night) it really shows the extra power! From a dig and a controlled spin, she really comes alive and just gets stronger as the speeds builds. I bet she'll run in the low, low 12's or maybe even break into the high 11's the way she is running now. Kudos to you for the work you have done on the TB kits and all the other things you have done for us here at the forum!

Victor: I just arrived in So. Califonia for a Business trip, I wanted to leave the 118 degree Phoenix heat. I decided to drive the E55 with my two new mods (TB and Shorty headers) to the cooler So. Cal climate, All I can say is wow!

Hey Joon!! Thanks my friend for the kind words! I am so glad you like the kit.
RPM has installed my stuff before so you are in good hands! I hope you enjoy it even more when you drive it home.
*** Mention to RPM that after they install the 80mm TB and BEFORE they start the car, turn the key to position 2 and leave it there for 90sec. The ECU will go out and reset a bunch of parameters. After 90sec go ahead and start the car.. People that dont do this step usually have erratic idle for a while and some surging while driving until the ECU relearns.
Oh.. and do the adapative reset as well (hold accelerator pedal down procedure) ***
These 2 things will provide instant gratification when you drive with the new TB.
Hey Phil!!! What a difference IAT makes huh?
Glad you are enjoying the mods. I still say the 80mm TB is one of the best mods I did to my car.. Changed the whole behaviour.. Have fun and watch your speed.. LOL..
