You are completely mistaken. This threat is 100% about automatic transmission. You cannot reset the adaptation of a manual transmission vehicle because there is nothing to reset. It's manual not automatic!

Don't wait and sit inside your car though. As soon as your CI turns off you're done. Can bus is asleep and next time you wake it up the result will be there or not depending on if it is implemented in your car.

My E55 Got alot worse after doing this not sure why I was so stupid lol. Anyway been drivining like crazy and it seems to me back to normal thank God.

Took it to the AMG center behol another E55 AMG W211-AMG they guy before me insist on having The AMG SHOP resetting the ECU despite warning the ECU is coded from factory so of course u can't reset it with this reset guide here u need the mercedes benz star diagnostic obviously or another ECU coding tool.

Anyway despite warnings he wanted the shop to proceed with the resetting via Star I was great I can look while he being the guiny pig and so it went on
Jesus Christ what a mess after the reset firing up the car was nearly impossible it finally started but total undriveable miss firing and acting all weird I never forget the sound and the look at the owners face while The AMG Tech guy lifting he shoulder I TOLD U SO.

Now ECU reprogrammed he's car drives again.

The tech was 100% correct. Star Diagnosis explicitly warns before you start the ETC reset/adaptation to only do it on the gear(s) that dont Shift properly and only if that is the last resort. It even states that it can get way worse.

hi I have a 2013 e550

i have a couple of buttons on the center console to the left of the main control *** the e to s button works fine to the right the sport / conf button doesnt seem to have power going to it and the. Air lift suspension button the same no power going to it, try pressing it to switch modes, no red lights appear, doesn't even light up white, like the other buttons
everything was working fine when I picked up the car from the dealer , now nothing

previous vehicle was a 2012 e350 so really familiar with them

cause they just detailed the car was wondering if they might if shorted a fuse or relay,

any ideas

Certainly could be a fuse. I would take the car back to the dealer if you recently bought it. Also, you might go to the w212 section and look if some others have dealt with the same issue.

Totally wrong thread. Open your own thread in the 212 sub forum or go back
To the dealer. Let them do a quick test. Lower control module has no fuse.

Just thought I'd bring this back up for you guys with transmission issues. It resets everything your car has learned about the way it's been driven. If your car doesn't shift more aggressively then you have bigger problems.

tried this today. seemed to work fine then for some reason after a WOT run from about 40mph up to 90mph, the car seemed to go into limp mode? even putting the throttle fully to the floor, the car would not accelerate. i tried shifting manually but made no difference so in the end i pulled over, switched the car off, then back on and away it went. not able to check for codes as my reader will no longer communicate with my phone after running a firmware upgrade...

Sounds like you have a problem lurking, and a little extra torque put you over the edge. Whatever it is will likely get worse over time. Might be best to get the scanner fixed first.
