Evosport Intercooler Upgrade.

Forced Induction cars always run better cooler. I was just wondering about it since I was planning to modify my car. Heat soak is a killer. I just wondered if it was overkill, considering I see most guys in here ar just upgrading their pumps.

I stuck my head under my bonnet over the weekend and had a quick look see whats what with the intercooler setup.
At first glance the existing heat exchanger looks fairly substantial in size. I think the I/C unit under the blower is whats rubbish, and I reckon a higher flow pump will help allot.
Also about bleeding the system - I noticed a valve cap (similar to valve stem on wheels) on one of the pipes leading to the IC unit. Surely using this valve must be easy to bleed the system ?
Using the radiator engine coolant volume I think also helps - I am not sure splitting the system is that great an idea.... try a faster pump and check your IATS - but you need to do it in same conditions - otherwise data will be meaningless...

I just upgraded the pump and then had the Star Diagnostics mod where the fan and pump are engaged 10 celsius lower than stock settings. So far its helped and you can hear the fan in the E55 kick in much more than when it did stock.
