CF Rear Valence (diffuser)
Im putting in an order and im Trying to guage some interest in who would be up for these. They are the Black Valences that come in the bumper, but in carbon fiber. the more we order, the lower the price will be. Im not sure if you guys are familiar wiht Strassentech in the BMW community, but they guy that is making these is the lead designer for strassentech and he will be making these himself and i assure you that they are of best quality and the weave is immaculate. Let me know. Prices can range anywhere from 1100-1500 depending on how many orders are put in, but then again im just throwing a number out here based on his CF M3 diffuser whic was 1100, It could be a lot cheaper, ill keep you guys posted.

The Strassentech guy that Brabus E55 is going to get it from used to work or maybe still works at the place that I got mine from. I saw the work that he did on an M3 and it looked really nice. Hopefully his turn around time will be better.
(the beads at the bottom are water, i had just finished washing the car)

You can't really just wrap the black plastic piece because it makes the whole piece too thick to fit back on the bumper. So he had to make a mold and that took a lot of time to get right. It took him a few times to finally get a piece that was thin, flexible, but strong. It's got to be thin or else it will protrude too much. So it just took the guy a few tries plus he was always busy working on Porsches.

Here is a wider shot of the carbon fiber piece.
Here is a thread about my piece. In the thread I posted to contact me for more info, but that no longer applies.

The opportunity in the above post has passed. I think if you want to get one now Brabus E55 or some other people might be a better route.

I wonder if it was Mike Shaw @ MAShaw that made the first piece. He was doing some CF stuff for my Porsche a year or so ago. He does very good work. If he is developing a new product using a mold it will be 3-4 months until you see the final product.
I would be more interested in a real diffuser like the one on the CLK DTM.

I've known Mike for 10+ years. If this is just a replacement part for the stock black piece it should not cost more than $500. It's fairly simple once the mold is right. If he had to design and create a real diffuser (CLK DTM) that would easily run north of $1500.

And it will take a very long time from the guy who made it for me. The guy is really really really slow. I am not exaggerating as you can see with ThemisN. He has been waiting for about 7 months.
I waited a year.
I hope other fabricators will not take as long.
I waited a long time because 1) mine was the first piece 2) the guy was doing me a favor so I did not want to push the issue too much.

And I do want my custom silver CF front lip... if you look at the pics of the other really cool silver diffuser above, that has tons of curves and they did it! YOU CAN DO ITTTTTT!
