Does anyone know first hand which one of these cars is faster, SL55 or E55, both 0-60 and 1/4 mile? I found this entertaining video here:

but I cannot see who wins, can anyone see something I am missing here. I have a neighbor that wants to race me.
Just for fun, if anyone has real results, your feedback would be appreciated...

I might be wrong, but looks like the SL took the cup.

The E55 should be slighty faster in most cases. You are roughly 200 pounds lighter then the SL.

I personally thought the E took the cup, but as you proved to me it is unclear.
I also know the E is lighter, but who can tell me for sure?

The E is considered the faster car but there isn't a for sure. Different cars different drivers different results.

Well I was just hoping there was some test results somewhere. Seems no one races within the "family" ha ha

My guess is the SL won because I did not see a light on the E side timing light tower indicating a win.

If you want to see some real world results you can go to dragtimes.com and click on browse and check times for both cars. You can draw your own conclusions from there.

keep in mind that was from the scottsdale exotic club and there are some killer cars in that group.... I doubt either car was stock....

Scottsdale exotic club......millions of dollars of cars running......including the world's fastest Benz, the 10 sec SL65 (it's black though) and ya think one of the millionaires could hold the F'in camera straight for just ONE second.

LOL..I agree. I cannot believe that I could not see the results!
Well, The majority here thinks I can beat the SL 55. I will race him tomorrow, so I will post the results OK?

What is the worse that happens? ..............you lose and we have a couple of laughs at your expense? Big deal!!!! There are only about eight guys in the entire world that even visit this forum and we all have bad memories.

Any word? I love the SLs and am real curious which is faster, too. The SL55s and 65s at the AMG challenge really felt great.
