Some more info RE power loss after flash
I have been making some enquirys as to the claims of power loss after this MB recall/ECU flash thing. So far i cant find anyone in Australia that knows anything about it.
And to quote Ulrich from Kleemann in Denmark:
"I have not heard about a software upgrade from Mercedes resulting in
loss of power. I much rather think one of the components in your car may
be faulty. What does your Mercedes-Benz dealer say?
Unfortunately KLEEMANN does not offer "plain" ECU upgrades for E 55"
Could it just be in the US that this "detuning" is occurring?

has anyone other than E55/CLS 55 such as SL/S/CL55 owners experienced power loss? I did my K2 on my SL55 after the MB reflash and didn't feel power loss between reflash and k2 upgrade. I didn't dyno my car before so I can't really say how much HP was improved. But i would be surprised that my car is underpowered compared to a non-mb reflahsed ECU bcz it's scarily fast already. btw i spoke to cory and he did tell me I have the new kleeman software.

Im taking my car in today but it has already had the ECU re-flash and it feels just fine to me. No loss in power. I though it felt very slow at Palomar Mt. in San Diego but then I saw the sign that said elevation 6000 ft. and that explained that issue very well.
I spoke to my shop foreman and he said this about the ECU re-flash. He said the ecu needed to be changed to a) change the way the car reads the relay on the airpump and b) make the pump stay on less frequently.
He said that the new relay does not ground the same way the old version did and it does not have a ground in the plug. When changing this the lack of a plug likely will freak out the car if it does not have a new ecu.
In the system it shows the upgrade as nothing more than changing that one item and it leaves all other items unchanged.
Honestly my car feels fine and lays dow tons of rubber with esp off..... just the same as before.

i have said it before in other threads but my car to me feels faster and more consistant. My car is stock with only filters with the new upgrade.
x-tian-230k If your car can even do a burn out with esp off then you have problems for real.

jefrose55- If you are having intermittant cut out after doing 3-4 pulls then its most likely the IC pump. But if it is not working at all then its something else and more serious. If you tell your service advisor and they should replace it. I had the same problem and they replaced it with a newer pump.

............Update. I received my new ECU yesterday and sent it to Kleemann. brandom called me promptly today upon receiving thene ECU. Ready for this? Oi turns out the new ECU DOES NOT HAVE the recall software. It has a software that is 2 generations older. Brandon was able to instal the k2/K4 program and I will get the unit back tomorrow. I still need to re-dyno the car anfter re-installing the ECU.

so your dyno comparison will be between the MB flashed, then programmed by kleeman ecu vs the virgin ECU programmed by kleeman?
