Then again I may be mistaken. For launch control I think you need to manually select the SMG7 setting (or something) and then push the gear level one way or another ... and dont think this can be mapped into the "button".
So even with all the programming done - its at least a 3 card trick - correct me if I am wrong anyone.
When I saw that episode I quitely laughed to myself for some time. BTW that was the episode when the 997S kicked the M6's butt as well as the Aston AMV8 over about a 2 mile section of winding damp/wet road.
I have to say I do prefer the binary "into orbit" / "not into orbit" stance of the E55's load pedal.
You have to go from D to S with the gear shifter.
You gotta flick the Power switch.
You also have to press the Sport switch for the suspension.

I think the one foot trick is best - foot off brake and mash throttle!
Much easier to remember.
Took me 10 seconds to program M5's M Button. This needs to be done one time only and then never again.
After that just press M and there you go. Real hard.
If you wanna use LC, simply press M, push the gearlever forward and stand on the gas. When the light goes green, release the gearlever. Reeeeeal hard.
Just about as much effort as slotting the AMG into Sport and powerbraking it off the line. In fact both are rediculously easy.

Actually I thought it was funny too, but that's neither here nor there. Top Gear have a responsibilty as journalists to be honest. And they aren't being honest.
The voice control he always stuffs up in the S and SL's always **** me off too. He gives a false perception of the truth, which the public out there accept as fact.
Maybe I should become an activist :p
