jangy, thanks for the pics and updates. I'm getting my installed next week and appreciate your sharing. I like the ease and flexibility you have created.

I agree.. I bought the module because I thought adjustment was going to be easy.. Having those knobs hidden and the module inaccessible I dont like.

I will have to do the same thing that Jangy did.. I want it somewhere that I can get to it without taking the car apart.

Adam: You should give Renntech some feedback and see if they can extend the wiring harness and expose the control knobs.

I thought it would be accessible too...thats kind of a foolish design flaw...why have the options if you have to pull the carpet up and unscrew the panel ...

Darker? What, mine aren't dark enough?? I didn't see it. It was off being detailed. Did they have the car back together and the module mounted??

Also, does it ride with the DPE rears? I won't get the painted rims till monday and my spare rears are in Irvine, but I wanted to show the fellas the module at tomorrow's meet.

Hehe...took until midnight, but it is DONE!!

Digital baby. 50mm is NICE!!
Rims won't be ready til Monday, so I can't show off the offset but it still drops nice and low.
No bouncing at all even at the lowest setting, but don't forget I have 18s.
Pics tomorrow. I need sleeppppp....

you'll always want some negative camber and the issues with alignment can be resolved with the installation of the crash bolts to reduce the amount of negative camber and an alignment.

50 mm drop ,are you sure.i have the kleemann module and i'm at the max 35 mm drop and there is really not much more room to go lower even if i wanted .then again i have 20" w/proper fitment and the tires are slightly taller than the factory ones but the tires are tucked slightly in the rear and right on top of the tire in the front.could you post a picture w/the drop.thanks

In all, when you are going 80mph and up, it is as if the unit is not there.

If all this is correct, I may also be using my links to get the ride the way I like it and then mess with the module for "looks"
Sorry, not true. The module is not changing with speed. It acts pretty much like mechanical links in that way - meaning it creates an offset from what the car normally does. You really do not need to combine this with a mechanical solution...

Saw Jang's car this morning. It looks evil with the Renntech drop, black tinted windows, black grill, debadged and smoked tail lights.

Sorry, VERY true. Digital, baby!!

Adjustable Lowering Module
RENNtech's new generation lowering module now available!
This all new lowering module does away the analog control of competitors and replaces it with a module that is controlled by four digital microprocessors. Digital control eliminates the temperature variations as well as any inconsistencies of the older generation modules. This module will fit any ABC or AirMatic Mercedes using a user selectable switch.
The digital design also allows for a module that can be adjusted to provide any height between stock to a ground slammed 50mm lower. This is achieved by individual wheel height adjustment. Using eight position rotary switches the user can adjust each front wheel and the rear axle height individually.
This revolutionary device is encased in a watertight molded ABS enclosure and utilizes an automotive grade waterproof electrical connector. All required hardware as well as a comprehensive installation manual are included in the ready to install kit.

Jangy,

Really Nice! I have to say the smoked tail lamps just finished of the sleeper effect! I cant wait to have them done on my car. By the way the Suspention looks wicked low! Can you still lower and raise your car VIA the interior factory setting as well?

Last but not least your car while in motion looks very in aggresive!

Absolutely. The stock controls and feel are still intact. Thing is, you actually use them more. Now, every time I roll into the city, first thing I do is pop the raise button. makes the ride SMOOOOTH. The thing is toooo sweet. In stal is a straight no-brainer, not that I did it.

I had my tuner do it. They spent a good 5 hours on it, but they extended the harness AND actual pins so that I can access it as I feel.

By the way, changes to the settings DO not take effect until car is back in park, so there is even the safety feature in case someone's leg happens to kick it.

It is simple wiring. Yes, it MUST be done correctly. But any great audio installer can snap it out. Very simple and integrates right into the MB system.

Jangy, Something is really freaking me out right now, if you look at picture one and look at your passenger door which is open and right next to the rear bumber of the C55 there is a weird reflection. Anyway nice meet, hope I had something like this here.
